Obiettivi Formativi
Far si che il partecipante sia consapevole del funzionamento dei principali strumenti derivati e delle possibili conseguenze derivanti dal loro impiego.
CONOSCENZA E CAPACITÀ DI COMPRENSIONE:
Al termine del corso il partecipante conoscerà le caratteristiche distintive di ciascuno dei principali strumenti derivati, le differenze tra i diversi strumenti, e le modalità di pricing delle principali forme tecniche.

Al termine del corso il partecipante saprà quali sono i possibili impieghi dei derivati con particolare riferimento a finalità di copertura (hedging), arbitraggio, e speculazione (trading).

Learning Objectives
The aim of the course is to provide knowledge of all the main contract types of derivatives (forward, future, options, etc.) and skills on pricing, contract evaluation and application. Within the application of derivatives a special concern will be attributed to the hedging strategies, rather than trading and arbitrage. Different hypothesis about the underlying asset will be done, including interest rates, currencies, stock prices and commodities. The structure and the functioning of derivative markets is part of the program too. In the last part of the course an analysis of the Exotic options and the structured products will be done.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:.
Students will develop knowledge of the main derivatives contract and will understand the different possible applications of derivative products.
MAKING JUDGEMENTS
Students will be able to judge the consequences of the use of derivatives products in different cases (e.g. portfolio management, corporate risk management, etc.)
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Students will learn the glossary of derivatives products and will be able to use it to discuss about derivative products and financial strategies that involve the use of derivatives
LEARNING SKILLS:
Students will be able to assess the pricing and the value of derivatives products.

OBIETTIVI
Il corso si propone l'obiettivo di offrire una visione completa delle principali tipologie di strumenti derivati, della loro valutazione e delle loro modalità di utilizzo. Fra le diverse modalità di utilizzo si darà particolare enfasi alla copertura. Il corso analizza quindi le diverse tipologie di strumenti (forward, future¸ opzioni, swap) mediante le quali è possibile assumere o coprire i rischi di variazione dei tassi di cambio, dei tassi di interesse, dei prezzi azionari o delle commodities. Oltre alle modalità di utilizzo, per ogni tipologia sono analizzate le caratteristiche dei mercati di negoziazione e le problematiche di valutazione (con l'unica eccezione delle opzioni, per le quali si faranno solo brevi cenni al pricing). Oltre ai derivati standard saranno oggetto di trattazione anche le opzioni esotiche ed i titoli strutturati. Il corso è incentrato sulla pratica di gestione di un portafoglio di strumenti derivati.

AIM

OBIETTIVI
Il corso si propone l'obiettivo di offrire una visione completa delle principali tipologie di strumenti derivati, della loro valutazione e delle loro modalità di utilizzo. Fra le diverse modalità di utilizzo si darà particolare enfasi alla copertura. Il corso analizza quindi le diverse tipologie di strumenti (forward, future¸ opzioni, swap) mediante le quali è possibile assumere o coprire i rischi di variazione dei tassi di cambio, dei tassi di interesse, dei prezzi azionari o delle commodities. Oltre alle modalità di utilizzo, per ogni tipologia sono analizzate le caratteristiche dei mercati di negoziazione e le problematiche di valutazione (con l'unica eccezione delle opzioni, per le quali si faranno solo brevi cenni al pricing). Oltre ai derivati standard saranno oggetto di trattazione anche le opzioni esotiche ed i titoli strutturati. Il corso è incentrato sulla pratica di gestione di un portafoglio di strumenti derivati.

OBIETTIVI
Il corso si propone l'obiettivo di offrire una visione completa delle principali tipologie di strumenti derivati, della loro valutazione e delle loro modalità di utilizzo. Fra le diverse modalità di utilizzo si darà particolare enfasi alla copertura. Il corso analizza quindi le diverse tipologie di strumenti (forward, future¸ opzioni, swap) mediante le quali è possibile assumere o coprire i rischi di variazione dei tassi di cambio, dei tassi di interesse, dei prezzi azionari o delle commodities. Oltre alle modalità di utilizzo, per ogni tipologia sono analizzate le caratteristiche dei mercati di negoziazione e le problematiche di valutazione (con l'unica eccezione delle opzioni, per le quali si faranno solo brevi cenni al pricing). Oltre ai derivati standard saranno oggetto di trattazione anche le opzioni esotiche ed i titoli strutturati. Il corso è incentrato sulla pratica di gestione di un portafoglio di strumenti derivati.

AIM
The aim of the course is to provide knowledge of all the main contract types of derivatives (forward, future, options, etc.) and skills on pricing, contract evaluation and application. Within the application of derivatives a special concern will be attributed to the hedging strategies, rather than trading and arbitrage. Different hypothesis about the underlying asset will be done, including interest rates, currencies, stock prices and commodities. The structure and the functioning of derivative markets is part of the program too. In the last part of the course an analysis of the Exotic options and the structured products will be done.
