Since Turkey holds the G20 Presidency, it is with pleasure that we announce that Istanbul will be hosting the Youth Summit of the G20 between 15-21 August 2015. We are looking for five talented young people that will represent the Italian youth delegation. During these six days, delegates will be striving to find consensus-based decisions in order to raise their voice against the G20 agenda, but also have the chance to explore the mysterious Turkish culture.

What is the Y20?

The Youth 20 (Y20) is the official youth event of the G20, whose aim is to develop cooperation and share needs, opinions and interests on issues relevant to the G20 agenda. The Y20 gathers a diverse group of extraordinary leaders from across the G20 countries to identify the pressing global challenges, engage in substantive policy discussions and generate innovative solutions which will be presented to the G20 leaders for consideration in their discussions.

In 2015 will be a year where G20 will focus its efforts on ensuring inclusive and robust growth through collective action according to the Prime Minister of Turkey, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Davutoglu.

Some of the topics of the Y20 Turkey 2015 agenda will be:

1.Enhancing Resilience
2.Strengthening the Global Recovery and Lifting the Potential
3.Buttressing Sustainability.

Requirements

We are looking for five talented delegates that will be able to confront with today’s challenges.
Are you ready for it? The ideal candidate should:

•hold Italian citizenship
•be aged between 18-30 (being under 25 will be an asset)
•possess proven track of outstanding curricular and/or extracurricular achievements
•have not participated previously in any of Y8/20 events
•have an interest towards the work and the topics dealt within the G20.
