Angela De Martiis

is PhD Candidate and Research Fellow at the Zeppelin University, Friedrichshafen, Germany, Chair of International Economics. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Torino, Italy under the supervision of Prof. Mario Deaglio. She was recently awarded the 2015 “Giorgio Rota” Best Paper Award on “The Economics of Illegal Activities and Corruption”. In 2011 she also won the Project “Reading Economics” promoted by the Fondazione CRT. Currently, she works as Research Fellow for the “Centro di Ricerca e Documentazione Luigi Einaudi” of Torino and previously as Research Associate for the Institute of High Studies in Geopolitics and Auxiliary Sciences, and as Junior Researcher for the Emerging Crimes Unit at the United Nations of Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI). The key topics of her research are Political Economy, Inequality, Institutional quality, Shadow Economy and Labor Economics.
