Müge Adalet McGowan

is an economist in the Structural Policy Analysis Division of the Economics Department at the OECD. She is currently a member of the Department’s Productivity Work stream, where she conducts policy research on productivity, innovation and skills. Before joining the Structural Policy Division, she was an economist in the Country Studies Division, covering Denmark, Ireland and Sweden, with a concentration on productivity and financial market issues. Prior to the OECD, she worked as a lecturer in Turkey and New Zealand, and as an economist at the New Zealand Treasury, with a particular focus on financial crises, exchange rate volatility and the links between exports and productivity. She holds a PhD in Economics from University of California, Berkeley.
