is Professor of Economics, University of Cagliari (Italy). He has been Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Director of the Department of Economics at the same university. In 1996 he was Visiting Research Associate, Department of Economics, Northeastern University (Boston, Massachusetts), and in 1997 he benefited of a Fulbright grant as Professor of Monetary Theory and Policy, Department of Economics, Northeastern University (Boston, Massachusetts). He was a member of the Presidential board of the Italian Economic Society. He is the author of several Economics books, and co-author of Modern Financial Crises, Springer, 2016.
