Emilie Frenkiel is a visiting scholar at Tor Vergata, an associate professor at the Université Paris Est Créteil and a researcher at the LIPHA. She is a PhD in political studies (Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Paris). She is a former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lettres et Sciences Humaines. Her research focuses on political participation and representation in the Chinese context. She has taught and studied in France, Great-Britain, Italy and China. She is a co-editor in chief of laviedesidees.fr and booksandideas.net.
