Modalità di Esame

 Esame scritto:

L’esame scritto durerà 90 minuti ed è suddiviso in 4 parti:

  1. Listening (10 punti)
  2. Reading (20 punti)
  3. Grammar (20 punti)
  4. Writing (10 punti)

Verrà svolta in classe una simulazione dell’esame.

Ci sono 60 punti disponibili, per passare l’esame si richiedono un minimo di 36 punti su 60. 

CRITERIO DI VALUTAZIONE: 

L’esame si intende superato o non superato, non ci sarà un punteggio finale espresso in cifre numeriche. Per passare l’esame si richiedono un minimo di 36 punti su 60.

EXAM FORMAT:

 Written exam:

The written exam lasts 90 minutes and it consists of four parts:

A mock-exam will be provided during the course.

There are 60 points available. A minimum of 36/60 is required to pass the written exam.

The final mark will be either Pass or Fail. There is no final mark in numbers. To pass the exam candidates must achieve a minimum of 36 points in the written exam.

EXAM REGULATIONS:

There are three exam sessions for a total of six exam dates.

  1. Winter session - December 2021-February 2022 – three exam dates available
  2. Summer session - June and July 2022 – two exam dates available
  3. Autumn session - August and September 2022 – one exam date available

 

To sit the exam students must book on Delphi. Without a valid registration on Delphi students will not be allowed to take the exam.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE CERTIFICATES: 

Following the indications given by the Faculty, students holding a valid English Language Certificate may be exempted from the written part. All exemption requests must be sent to the University Language Centre, CLA http://cla.uniroma2.it/idoneita-linguistica/certificazioni-riconosciute/ following their indications and deadlines.

The CLA will then provide the teacher with the list of students admitted for exam exemption. 

IMPORTANT:

  • STUDENTS WITH A VALID CERTIFICATE APPROVED BY CLA, ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE WRITTEN EXAM ONLY. ALL STUDENTS MUST SUBMIT THEIR PROJECT WORK
  • STUDENTS EXEMPTED FROM THE WRITTEN PART MUST BOOK THEIR EXAM ON DELPHI. WITHOUT A VALID BOOKING ON DELPHI, THE EXAM WILL NOT BE RECORDED.
  • STUDENTS EXEMPTED FROM THE WRITTEN PART MUST BE PRESENT ON THE DAY OF THE EXAM TO COMPLETE THEIR VERIFICATION PROCEDURE. STUDENTS WHO DON’T SHOW UP ON THE DAY OF EXAM WILL BE MARKED AS ABSENT AND THEIR EXAM WILL NOT BE RECORDED.

EXAM SESSIONS:

Students can take the exam during the three exam sessions established by the Faculty:

  • winter session: December 2021-January 2022 - 3 exam dates available - students can sit the exam on maximum two exam dates (on the 1st and 3rd or on the 2nd only)
  • summer session: June-July 2022 -  2 exam dates available - student are allowed to take the exam once only
  • autumn session: August-September 2022 - 1 date only 

ABSENT STUDENTS AND STUDENTS WHO WITHDRAW FROM THE EXAMINATION:

Students who are physically absent on the day of the exam, are allowed to take the exam on the following date provided that they successfully book the exam on Delphi.

Once the exam session has been opened, candidates cannot withdraw from the examination. Students are allowed to hand in their exam unfinished, but they will in any case be marked as present and therefore they will not be allowed to take the exam on the following date.

MARK REGISTRATION:

Mark registration will be notified via Delphi. The exam does not have a final mark in numbers, the exam is either ‘pass or fail’. Please note that Delphi registers marks in Italian only. Please find below a translation of how your marks will be registered:

  • ‘Pass’ exams will be marked as ‘idoneo – superato’
  • ‘Fail’ exams will be marked as ‘ritirato’ which in Italian means ‘withdrawn’. Fail exams will not be marked as failed so not to ruin your academic performance.
  • Absent students will be marked as ‘assenti’
