Sogol Sheydaei at the 2016 MIT Technology Review Awards

BA student Sogol Sheydaei winner of the TR35 Young Innovators Award 2016

The University of Rome Tor Vergata Master of Science in Business Administration programme is proud to announce that the Iranian student Sogol Sheydaei was awarded, last Monday 9th at the Business School of Bologna, the TR35 Young Innovators Award (Premio TR35 Giovani Innovatori 2016) a special price by MIT Technology Review Italia for her innovative app called "Overcome".

Following the initiative launched more than a decade ago by MIT Technology Review USA named Innovators under 35, MIT Technology Review Italy selects and awards each year young innovators, under the age of 35 years old, for developing solutions for major global challenges through a variety of approaches that are changing the way we live.

Sogol Sheydaei, hailing from Iran, was rewarded by former Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi for "Overcome" an app she created for Android designed to help people accelerate the process of recovery from a failed relationship. "Overcome" categorizes customers based on a series of questions so as to predict the emotions of customers by providing scientific data and sending them tips on how to recover from the heartbreak on a regular basis.

The MIT Technology Review TR35 is not the first award for Mrs Sheydaei: since her arrival in Italy she has already been awarded the first prize at the Bright IDEA Contest 2015 sponosored by Accenture and Università Cattolica and the 2nd prize at the Berlin Startup Calling 2015 sponsored by ShopAlike.it.

Needless to say Tor Vergata Business Administration's staff are extremely proud of Sogol and wish her many more succefull achievements to come.
