Brilliant Young Entrepreneurs: A Concrete Chance for University Students

The Brilliant Young Entrepreneurs contest is a concrete opportunity for college students to realize their entrepreneurial dreams.

The contest created by Junior Achievement Italy and Hyundai offers valuable financial and advisory support to help flourish concrete business ideas, developed in Italian universities, that demonstrate a strong potential.

The initiative aims to equip young students with entrepreneurial skills through real and concrete experience provided by the development of a business plan, or through a process of mentoring dedicated to the winners and finalized to starting a real company .

The European Contest

Brilliant Young Entrepreneurs represents an important step in the commitment of Junior Achievement and Hyundai to actively participate in the development of the European economic system, through concrete incentives for youth entrepreneurship and transfer of those skills which are essential to successfully face the business world.

Launched in Italy in October 2014, this initiative has already led 14 teams of college students to start a real company and other already existing young companies to further develop their business.

During the 2014/2015 academic year the project will identify the 18 best business ideas in Europe (including countries of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland , France, Great Britain, Italy, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain).

How to Partecipate

The competition is open to all students between 18 and 30 years old, resident in Italy and enrolled in a Master of Science, a Masters or a PhD at an Italian university or at postgraduate school. Participation open to team, or to individuals, there is no limit to the number of participants.

The individual or the team winner of the call-for-ideas will receive a grant of € 15,000 disbursed in three tranches, which will add :

  • a process of mentoring.
  • legal advice on intellectual property.
  • market research.
  • opportunities for visibility in the media nationwide.
