My name is Elena di Paolo, I am 29 years old and I currently work for the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies and Tourism. My activity is focused on the development of analysis and conformity assessment activities on strategic, political and legal regulations related to the ministry.
Until June 2018 I worked as a consultant in the public sector for Ernst & Young. I am specialized in the management and evaluation of cohesion policies and structural European funds, having gained substantial experience over the last few years, consolidated firstly at the Ministry of the Interior (2015), then at the Ministry of Education and Research (2015-16) and, finally, at the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies from July 2016 to June 2018.
Specifically, my work experience has covered more areas of application on the subject, first of all engaging in the reporting and control of financing and, subsequently, in the field of administrative procedures and internal processes.
Among my main activities are: drafting of management manuals and implementation of funds at national level, implementing acts for technical meetings and institutional round tables, definition of audit trails and check lists both at central and decentralized level and further support activities.
After graduating with honors in "European Economy and Business Law" at the University of Tor Vergata with a thesis in European administrative law on the procedures related to EU funds, I achieved in the academic year 2014-15 a II level master's degree (60 credits) in "Management and Innovation of the Public Administration" with honors and one in the field of Public Contracts (60 CFU), again at the University of Tor Vergata.
I have a deep interest in continuing to provide support in the public sector, specializing more and more in current European policies and, in the evaluation and improvement of processes and procedures characterizing the central public administrations. I completed my education at the two-year Specialization School in Studies of Public Administration (SPISA) in Bologna with full marks and I support teaching and thesis activities at the IAD School of Tor Vergata for the Master in Disciplines of Public Contracts.
