Charles Asantiel MARIKI


I was born and grew up in Moshi-Kilimanjaro region, a north east part of Tanzania. I acquired my first degree Bsc. (Hons.) Urban and Regional Planning from University of Dar es Salaam-Tanzania in 2004. Since 2005 I have been working as an Urban Planner at Moshi Municipality heading Urban Planning Section. I have worked extensively in field of Settlement Upgrading and registration of land for poverty alleviation, Land use Planning Management and land use conflicts resolution, Community Infrastructure provision, Preparation of Strategic Urban Development Plans. In 2008 I gained a Post Graduate Diploma of Environmental Management from Technical University of Dresden in Germany. In 2009/10 I did a Master degree programme MSc. International Cooperation and Urban Development at Technical University of Darmstadt in Germany. My ambition is to acquire competencies to work with or for developers on Development Planning especially in International Cooperation Economics to manage and steer Urban Development projects for poverty reduction.
