MESCI-Development Economics and International Cooperation

Master in
Development Economics and
International Cooperation

Alumni 2012/2013

I had my bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the American University of Beirut. I grew up in Beirut, a city that suffered war for many years, but with a very positive, life loving, active population, which looks forward to the future and acts fast to erase wounds. The country experienced exponential growth for past years, but with weakness and corruption in administrative control, that has ended up growing without any well thought planning and proper regulation. Having to face this day-to-day experience enhanced my curiosity to learn and understand more the concepts of urban development. MESCI is the second year of my double degree postgraduate studies in Urban Development and International Cooperation, started at Technische Universität Darmstadt in Germany.
