MESCI-Development Economics and International Cooperation

Master in
Development Economics and
International Cooperation

Alumni 2016/2017

I am Erika Piroli and I have a bachelor in languages and I am going to graduate in the Master of Science in European Economy and Business Law. I initially take the path of Humanities following my passion for literature and Spanish language and culture, but I used to be really disappointed about my studies, the idea that I couldn’t apply my knowledge in a more dynamic field, letting apart my ambitious goals, disturbed me. But I am not the kind of person that leaves something halfway through, so I preferred to continue my studies until the very end. After my graduation, I used to be even more interested about the relationship between poverty and gender, about inequality and the use of microcredit for self-help groups so I decided to apply for the specialization course in economy and for the same reasons I chose to apply at MESCI.
