The 6% increase in the past year takes Italy's economy back to pre-crysis standard

corrado-cerruti-confindustria-assoconsultThe daily business newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore published an article written by president of Assoconsult Carlo Maria Capè describing the current situation of the Italian economy.

According to the Osservatorio sul Management Consulting in Italia (Observatory on Management Consulting in Italy)  Management consulting practises are anticipating the positive trend of the Italian economy and with a 6% growth in the past year returns to the pre-crisis standards.

This is the result of a project developed thanks to a partnership between Confindustria Assoconsult and the research team of Professor Corrado Cerruti, Simone Borra and Andrea Appolloni of University of Rome Tor Vergata (Faculty of Economics), and presented at the Association of the States General in Rome in front of more than 80 Italian and multinational consulting firms,

During a panel discussion attended also by management of Ars et Inventio, PwC Consulting, Accenture and Innext, it  emerged how "in the economy of knowledge value today is immaterial and physical assets are less and less relevant." This is why the role of consulting is critical and provides a fundamental contribution to the development of competitive business thanks to its constant updating and empathetic approach .

The significant growth of the Italian industry in the past year (+ 5.7% on average and 10.5% for companies with more than 50 consultants), can be attributed to the work of consultants who, before anyone else, have been able to understand, interpret and re-analyze the effects of the crisis.

This is why the estimates forsee a 5% grow for next year: a real start-engine considering that the Italian industry employs about 30 thousand professionals (+ 2.1% compared to 2013).
