A startup created by BTeam, formed by students of Tor Vergata University won the JA StartUp Program

The startup team, led by Federica Sabuzi, PhD student in Organic Chemistry, has developed a project to synthesize in an efficient, economic and sustainable way a very effective antibacterial called bromontimolo, rarely used in industry because of the unsustainable labor and extraction costs.

The startup was considered the best among the ideas proposed by 350 students from 15 different universities distributed on the Italian territory, according to the Official Site JA Italy.

The days of confrontation with the jury took place in Milan on the 23rd and 24th of June 2016 with the succession of different moments, including a small conference based on inspirational stories conducted by journalist Emil Abirascid with the participation of Luca Ravagnan, co- founder of WISE; Almir Ambeskovic, Country Manager TheFork.it, Adrian Joyce Losi, CEO of BE Aerospace.

Tor Vergata's BTeam received the Brilliant Young Entrepreneurs prize of Hyundai Motor Company, a total of €15.000 and will represented Italy at the upcoming JA Europe Enterprise Challenge taking place in Bucharest, Romania from 6 to 8 July 2016.

The idea came after the European Commission's report Entrecomp: The Entrepreneurship Competence Framework, which reaffirms the importance of entrepreneurship and how it can be trained and learned, through a methodology that helps young entrepreneurs to develop their project.

It is an helpful experience for all the young entrepreneurs who were able to collect valuable feedback and engage with entrepreneurs and experienced investors who represents an important test to assess the possible value of a company.
