The Department of Economics and Finance (DEF) at the University of Rome Tor Vergata invites expressions of interest for a Senior (Tenure-Track) Assistant Professorship in Statistics or Economic Statistics.
The position (called RTD-B by the Italian university system) is for three years. Subject to evaluations, it might be converted in a tenured Associate Professorship at the end of the third year. Applicants for this position must have at least three years of experience after PhD graduation, and an already established research record including (top) publications in international journals in the area of Statistics & Probability and/or Econometrics.
Candidates working in
- any area of statistics, methodological statistics, mathematical statistics, applied statistics
OR
- high dimensional statistics for economics and finance
are welcome to apply.
Salary, benefits, and teaching load, for the position are those established by the Italian government. A five-year tax exemption on 90% of the salary is available according to the Italian tax law for those candidates who have been residing outside Italy for 2 years or more.
Knowledge of Italian is not required nor preferential.
