The Department of Economics and Finance (DEF) at Tor Vergata University of Rome invites expressions of interest for a Full Professorship and an Associate Professorship in any area of Economics, Finance, and Statistics.

The positions are permanent; the Department aims to hire the selected candidates by December 31st, 2024.

Applicants should have an established track record of publications in leading academic journals, and evidence of leadership and recognition in the academic community. Standards of excellence in teaching are also expected.

Our Department promotes high-quality research, seminars and conference activities, with the aim of contributing to the national and international policy debate. RePEc and Tilburg University rank our Department among the top 5 institutions in Italy, and the top 100 in Europe.

The Department has been financed for a second consecutive five-year period (2023-2027) by the Italian Ministry of University and Research under the program “Departments of Excellence”.

Full Professor Annual Salary: 76,000 €

Associate Professor Annual Salary: 53,419 €

Salary details: According to Italian Law, researchers coming from abroad are eligible to a tax break (90% tax deduction) for up to 13 years.
