THIRD MISSION
In line with the University mission, vision and plan to favor Sustainable Development Goals (as defined in the UN 2030 Agenda), the Department of Management and Law is involved in promoting, planning, realizing and reporting all those activities, complimentary to Education and Research, which can be referred to as of "Third mission". These include a variety of topics aiming at bridging academia, business, government, and civil society to foster innovation, culture, employment, and progress in general.
The Department of Management and Law is continuously engaged in such a challenge and, through its faculty and staff, it promotes and delivers multiple services to and together with the ecosystems of stakeholders.
All the third mission activities are monitored by an ad-hoc departmental Commission that yearly administrates an internal survey and publishes a synthesis of such activities for transparency and compliance purposes (e.g., periodical reporting for the ANVUR- Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research Systems). Accordingly, the third mission activities are grouped into two major classes: "Valorisation of research-VAR" and "Production of social, educational and cultural goods and services-PES."
