A note on visa requirements:

Non-EU students who need to apply for a visa should be aware that it often takes very long to receive an appointment at the embassy for their visa application. They should therefore apply for an appointment as soon as they have received the electronic version of their admission letter. Usually they will need to open a blocked account as a proof of finance for their visa. We recommend to open such an account with either ExPatrio (https://www.expatrio.com/) or Fintiba (https://www.fintiba.com/). In most cases the German embassies accept no other financial statements than blocked accounts.
