*Exchange students select three modules per semester, totalling 60 UK credits (or 120 UK credits for a full academic year), with each module valued at 20 UK credits.

From the 2026–2027 academic year, modules will be offered in a range of credit values: 15, 20, 30, or 60 UK credits. This change will allow students to choose from a wider variety of module combinations.
For example:

Option 1: 3 modules × 20 UK credits = 60 UK credits (standard option)
Option 2: 2 modules × 30 UK credits = 60 UK credits
Option 3: 2 modules × 15 UK credits + 1 module × 30 UK credits = 60 UK credits
…and other combinations

In all cases, exchange students joining us for one semester will be expected to select modules totalling 60 UK credits, and those joining for the full academic year will be expected to select 120 UK credits in total.

We will provide a detailed explanation of these changes in the application guide, which will be shared with all nominated students and partner institutions. The full list of new modules available to exchange students will be published on our website by the end of March 2026.
