4 students x 5 months (field of study in Business Administration);

Language requirements: English B2 (*)

Application deadlines: I semester: 15 May; II semester: 15 November

(*) Language requirements:

As not all incoming students have a sufficient knowledge of Dutch, Ghent University requires a good knowledge of English (CEF B2-level or higher) in order to communicate and function in an academic context. Therefore all incoming exchange students are required to submit a language certificate which shows that they have acquired a B2-level in English. Kindly read carefully the language requirements in the Fact Sheet.

VERY IMPORTANT:

  • The majority of subjects are taught on Master level!
  • Study level: courses are instructed at 3th year bachelor level and master level. This means that the students need to have completed minimum 120 ECTS in your home degree by the start of the exchange period, to take bachelor courses and minimum 180 ECTS to take part in master courses.

We advice applicants (and their coordinators) to take a close look at the 'course specifications' from our exchange program because most of them are advanced Master courses.
From this year on we have been asked to point out at our partners that we'll only accept academic valuable learning agreements of minimum 24 ECTS/semester.

Secondly, the English language level of your students is crucial to let them complete their exchange period with satisfying result.
Having a solid B2 level is really necessary to take part in our classes because most of the courses are conceived rather differently than most students are used to: problem based learning, group discussions, presentations, etc.
