Registry Research
The institutional archive of the University of Tor Vergata collects, preserves, disseminates, and guarantees permanent access to the university's scientific output. The collected materials include pre-print and post- print articles published in scientific journals, conference papers , doctoral theses, and teaching materials. The objectives of this archive are:
• ensure free access to research results
• increase the impact of research within the international scientific community
• increase the visibility and prestige of the University through the communication of its scientific production
The archive, designed according to the model defined by the Open Archives Initiative , realizes the commitment made by the University of Tor Vergata, together with almost all Italian universities, with the signing of the Berlin Declaration in favor of open access to academic literature, for the creation of an alternative model of scientific communication, capable of breaking down the current barriers (legal, economic and technological) that hinder the dissemination and development of research.
