SFOGLIARE LA VITA Estimated start: September 18th, 2026
SECTOR AND AREA OF INTERVENTION: Education and cultural promotion
of landscape, environment, sustainable and social tourism, and sports:
cultural animation for youth. The "SFOGLIARE LA VITA" (Leafing Through
Life) project is part of a program led by the National Research Council (CNR)
titled "Strengthening Social Cohesion and Citizen Participation starting from
places of knowledge, science, and culture," featuring accessibility and
cultural promotion initiatives promoted by CESC Project and the University
of Rome Tor Vergata. According to project findings, young people are not
just recipients of protection measures; they can become engines of change,
provided that their desire for active engagement is heard and valued by
launching engaging and effective initiatives for a target group that has
evolved its language and social contexts.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE: To develop and promote spaces for culture, learning,
and social participation, in both formal and non-formal contexts,
specifically designed for young people.
Specific Objectives:
● To encourage access and participation of young people in university
and civic education pathways.
● To provide better and broader opportunities for socio-cultural
participation and active youth engagement.
A SERVIZIO DELLA COMUNITÀ 2026 Estimated start: September 18th, 2026
SECTOR AND AREA OF INTERVENTION: Education and cultural, landscape,
environmental, sustainable and social tourism, and sports promotion.
The "A SERVIZIO DELLA COMUNITÀ 2026" (At the Service of the
Community) project, in line with the general framework and objectives of
the "GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP AND PROMOTION OF RIGHTS" program,
proposes a socio-cultural promotion initiative. This is a joint project
(co-designed) by the Chamber of Commerce of Umbria, the Municipalities
of Sant’Elpidio a Mare, Monte Urano, and Porto Sant’Elpidio (Province of
Fermo), Montesilvano (Pescara), Aviano (Pordenone), the Parish of
Alberobello (Bari), and the University of Rome Tor Vergata. The project aims
to enhance local potential and foster sociality and community cohesion
through socio-cultural animation and the strengthening of services
dedicated to promotion, support, information, and guidance for the
population, with a specific focus on young people.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE: To promote social cohesion and well-being within
the local communities involved, enhancing territorial potential by
strengthening community animation, socio-cultural promotion, and
support, information, and guidance services for the population, with a
specific focus on young people.
ROLE AND ACTIVITIES OF VOLUNTEERS: The activities planned for Civil
Service operators, working alongside staff and organization volunteers, are
summarized below. Depending on the site’s schedule, in case of
emergencies preventing on-site operations or for other service
opportunities, part of the activities may be carried out remotely. This remote
work will not exceed 30% of the total annual hours (340 hours per year), and
appropriate tools will be provided for this purpose.
The project aims to foster community well-being through three main lines
of intervention:
● (A) Cultural and Social Promotion: Management and digitalization of
library heritage, organization of events (exhibitions, concerts,
seminars), educational workshops for schools and families, and
enhancement of social media communication.
● (B) Service Accessibility: Management of information and guidance
desks for youth, students, and foreign citizens; bureaucratic support
for vulnerable groups and digitalization of Public Administration
services.
● (C) Territorial Promotion: Enhancement of local economic and
tourism resources, management of Info Points, and creation of
promotional materials for sustainable tourism.
All activities are coordinated through shared initial phases (planning and
networking) and closing phases (results analysis and reporting) across all 18
involved sites.
