Up to five volumes may be borrowed at a time, unless otherwise authorised by the Library Management.
Loans last 30 days and can be renewed for a further 15 days at the request of the borrower (via Library Search, by telephone at 0672595530, or by email at v.pareto@economia.uniroma.2.it), unless the item has been requested by someone else.
If a loan expires during a period when the Library is closed, the due date is postponed to the day the Library reopens.
It is not possible to lend borrowed items to third parties.
It is not possible to borrow:
- encyclopaedias, dictionaries, legal codes and, in general, reference works
- textbooks for undergraduate and postgraduate courses (in the catalogue: “Eco Course Materials / Eco Consultabile”)
- journals
- items for which particular reasons advise against removing them from the premises
The Library may at any time require the immediate return of any item on loan.
Anyone with overdue loans will be excluded from further loans for a period equal to the number of days of delay. In more serious cases (e.g. repeated infringements), permanent suspension from the service may be applied.
Anyone who damages, spoils, deteriorates or loses a borrowed item, even unintentionally, must return it with another intact copy of the same edition. If the item cannot be found, the borrower must pay compensation equal to its economic value.
