Evaluation
The grade for the course will be based on evaluation along the following modules:

Online quizzes will be held in almost every class. Students must bring their own devices to class to take these quizzes – devices such as laptops, smart phones and tablets will be permitted. Phones must be on silent mode. Quizzes will be based on material provided for prior reading or on material discussed in class. Quizzes will be of very short duration, possibly a few minutes only, and will serve the purpose of increasing in-class interaction. Some quizzes will be in the form of surveys (ie not graded). The topic for the term paper will be specified in advance. The term paper has to be done in groups (of
2-4) and has to be about 3000 words in length (about 12 pages double-spaced) and will consist of two components. The first component, a proposal, will have to be submitted by the middle of the term (25% of points) and the second and final report will have to submitted by the end of the term (75% of points). The paper topic should focus on a current IT innovation. All groups must submit a peer-evaluation of the group contribution to the report. Details will be provided in class.
