DigiEduHack 2025: AI in Education and You: Hack the Future of Tutoring

Held under the framework of the European Commission’s Digital Education Action Plan, this hackathon will bring together students from across YERUN universities to collaborate on innovative solutions for the future of tutoring with AI.

Participants will develop their proposals following the Design Thinking process:

  • Empathise, reflecting on the challenges learners face in traditional tutoring settings and how AI can help overcome these obstacles
  • Discover, exploring the ways AI can personalise the learning experience and adjust to individual learning styles and needs
  • Define, focusing on the key features of AI-driven tutoring solutions
  • Ideate, brainstorming how AI tools can be integrated to meet specific learning needs and enhance tutoring outcomes
  • Prototype, configuring a prototype of an AI-powered tutoring solution and analysing how to actually implement it.

The proposals will be evaluated by a panel of experts, and the winning team will move to the selection at the European level. A dedicated micro-credential will recognise participants’ contributions to experimenting with AI-based tutoring solutions.
