KEY ACTION 1: LEARNING MOBILITY OF INDIVIDUALS

Erasmus+ is the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. The programme, established  in 1987, offers university students the possibility of studying or doing an internship abroad.

At present there are approximately 600 valid Erasmus agreements between Tor Vergata University of Rome and European partner universities, offering students a wide number of mobility scholarships for each academic year. More than 130 of the agreements are only for the students of the School of Economics.

Student mobility for studies

The mobility activity has to be compatible with the student’s degree-related learning and personal development needs. Therefore, before leaving the home university, the participating student signs the Learning Agreement - a document that describes the programme of studies followed in the host university that must be approved by the home university.

Student mobility for traineeship

This mobility helps students gain valuable work experience by supporting traineeships abroad.
The traineeship abroad can last from a minimum of 2 months to a maximum of 12 months and must be relevant for the student's degree-related learning and personal development needs and, wherever possible, be integrated in the study programme.
The university and the receiving organisation must sign a Learning Agreement for Traineeships to ensure a transparent and efficient preparation of the exchange abroad. This document sets out rights and responsibilities of the various parties, a detailed programme of the traineeship, information on insurance, and how the traineeship will be recognised upon successful completion.
