My name is Andrea, I come from a small town called Grottaferrata. As I realised the ‘traditional‘ bachelors were not satisfy-ing me, I enrolled in Global Governance in 2014. GG contributed to developing my passion in Urban Studies, sustainability issues, and their governance. Spending a semester at the Venice International University contributed to refining and further sharpening my interest in urban planning, and in the management and monitoring of water ecosystems. After I enrolled in the MSc in Urban Environmental Management at Wageningen University and Research (The Nether-lands), I was happy to see how strong the influence of Global Governance was, both related to my critical thinking ability and to my approach towards the new disciplines of the MSc. Here I am studying Urban Sustainability Transitions and how poli-cymakers can deliver structural change to increase the sustainability of socio-ecological systems. My goal is to gather practical and professional experience in The Netherlands and eventually come back to Italy, where I would like to finally make a transition happen to increase the quality of life of our cities.
