The two groups for the exam on Wednesday
Dear All,
the list for 10:30 is full and I've ended the possibility to modify the file.
So I expect to see those who enrolled for 9:00 + those who did not express their preference ... to come and attend the exam at S4 at 9:00 am.
Only those who already registered for 10:30 will be accepted at 10:30.

On Wednesday we need to organize two groups! Pick the round you prefere: at 9:00 or at 10:30
Dear All,
as the computer classroom has a limited number of places, as I anticipated you this morning, we will have to arrange two rounds:
- first round at 9:00
- second round at 10:30
So those who are already enrolled on Delphi for the exam can choose among these two options at the following link:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1a74Rwsn5MVFCevQ1dPWNeicN9TyAfBumbD7e1VO2Oi8/edit?usp=sharing
Try and split yourselves in two rather balanced groups, knowing that there is no advantage in coming at the foirst or the second round ... the questions you will receive will be randomly chosen from a question databank (one for each type!).
If you haven't registered on Delphi yet ... do it immediately as the window for registering you is expiring on October 24th!
All the best

Final remarks: accessing the exam next week + using a tutoring chatbot for the final rush
Dear All,
as I mentioned you in class:
- the exam will take place in S4 (the Computer Classroom) where you will have to enter into the course platform from our desktop computers (and not your laptop). Therefore make sure that you know the password to get into the course platform!
- the exam will have the structure of the one already reported on the platform ... so check it once (by the way you might want to check not only the way to access the exam but also how well you are able to respond to the a sample of exam questions (we have reported immediately below a reference answer where all the relevant points are mentioned.
- the exam is organised on three open questions as follows:
Question “1- Remember” will assess how you recall of the basic concepts with the related specific terms and elements
Question “2 – Understand” will assess how you can master the comprehension of ideas and the ability to link the different concepts and build a wider picture
Question “3 – Appy” will assess how you are able to use information in new or concrete situations to solve problems or illustrate concepts, based on a given reference scenario.
In the finetuning of your preparation, you might want to refer to the "Course Tutoring Chatbot" at the following link:
https://app.edcafe.ai/join/GoLY7WlyPD5olYikZr5boCHr0LMQBF8ZYtwiBrJZ3rhHpgd2f8lnLTxXfDD9F8y7
On the course platform, you will find all the information on how to access and use it. In particular
You will be able to interact with the chatbot asking it to provide you possible questions as well as verify your answers. Be aware that we are still testing it ... therefore, in our tests we found the responses are reliable. However in case you have serious doubts, do not hesistate to send us a mail, as human-in-the-loop is very much needed.
In order to interact with the chatbot, you will have to create (and then enter) your personal code. This code will be used solely to match your responses across survey waves (first of all the survey you already filled in at the beginning of the course). It will not be used to identify you personally. Please create your ID as follows: the last two letters of your mother’s first name, the first two letters of your city of birth, and the day of your birth as two digits.
Example: mother’s first name Eva = VA, city of birth London = LO, day of birth 12 = VALO12. Please enter exactly 6 characters: 4 capital letters followed by 2 digits, e.g. VALO12.
I hope that everything is clear ... but in case you have any doubt, just write me.

Dear All,
Materials for this week and next week are now available on the platform.
Let highlight that while reading materials for Week 5 are mandatory, reading materials for Week 6 are optional as they are mainly descriptions of existing software ... on Friday we will see how to build an individual work based on their features.
.... Needless to say that also in Week 6, the scrpts (and the related slides) are to be studied in full (only reading materials are optional).

Dear All,
The call for applications for the 14th edition of the CESMA Master’s program (Academic Year 2026/2027) will be published very soon.
The master almost in full in Italian, therefore a good knowledge of the language is a requirement.

The new edition features a highly application-oriented approach, covering skills ranging from data analysis to Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and GenAI, as well as their practical applications in decision-making and business.
Get in touch with Prof. Simone Borra - borra@economia.uniroma2.it - and learn more form him ... including the dates of the many open days they are organising to present the master.
