Exam format:

  • The exam will be an oral and online exam using EXCLUSIVELY the platform Microsoft Teams with the account “...@uniroma2.eu”
  • Booking on Delphi system is MANDATORY.
  • All students who want to take the exam must join the BGR group on Microsoft Teams by using the following link:

https://teams.microsoft.com/l/message/19:dedd7fba39a04abea193d1f895f73fb3@thread.tacv2/1585937316926?tenantId=24c5be2a-d764-40c5-9975-82d08ae47d0e&groupId=2af8137f-b45a-4c94-bc2c-33fea60a87ca&parentMessageId=1585937316926&teamName=MONTEDURO-8011611-BUSINESS_GOVERNMENT_RELATIONSHIPS-(Canale%202)&channelName=Exam%20sessions&createdTime=1585937316926

Time and date:

  • All students who want to take the exam must present at the time scheduled (13.30, Friday 10th for the first session) and must be available for the duration of the exam (presumably 4-5 hours).

Subjects:

Both attending and non-attending students can take the exam with some differences:

  • Attending students: have to prepare and send by email an essay (1 page, the topic was already communicated on BGR group in MS teams). The deadline is Wednesday April 8th. In the day of the oral exam, student have to present their essay (5 minutes) and answer to one theoretical question regarding the lessons.
  • Non- attending students: have to answer to three open questions which relate to the lessons and the case studies uploaded (maximum 10 minutes).

Exam procedure and rules:
In the day of the exam, the procedure will be as follows:

  • A roll call of the students who booked on Delphi will be done first in order to verify your presence online. Therefore, I will declare the exam open and I will proceed to call progressively each student for the exam.
  • During the exam, examining student is requested to activate the video camera in addition to the audio (The other connected students must temporarily turn off the video camera and, above all, the audio so as not to disturb the examining student).
  • I will verify the identity of the candidate by checking the identification document (Please keep it handy and show it in front of the camera).
  • The candidate has to quick answer to the question. No teaching material and cheating shall be accepted.
  • Once the exam has been completed (approximately 10 minutes), the grade will be communicated immediately. (For the attending students the oral grade and the overall grade will take into account the grade from class activities).
  • Students can accept or reject the grade. If they reject, they can take the exam in the next session but this time, they will lose the marks of the class activities.

If you have any question related to the exam, you can post it directly on BGR group, then I will explain to you better.

All the best,
Fabio Monteduro

course restart - online mode

Sunday 15 March 2020

Dear Students,
as you may already know, starting from Monday 16th, courses of the MSc in Business Administration will be restarted online. As for the BGR course we can use Microsoft Teams as platform to continue our teaching activities (lectures + group activities).
I have already created our virtual classroom on Microsoft Teams on which I ask you to register (here you will find a guide in English: https://en.uniroma2.it/news/coronavirus-update-8-starting-online-lessons/; here in Italian: http://web.uniroma2.it/module/name/Content/newlang/italiano/navpath/TEA/section_parent/7281)
After informally consulting some students, we agreed that the best way to continue is the asynchronous mode. This will help us to avoid bandwidth problems, but also to make up faster the two missed weeks of teaching activities. This will also allow you some flexibility in terms of time and way of use.
Asynchronous mode means that:
• I will upload videos with the case discussion (which replace the Thursday lecture with case discussion in class)
• I will upload the case studies + assignments (which replace the Friday class-activities)
All materials will be posted on Microsoft Teams. The assignments carried out by the groups can always be sent to me via the MTeams chat (or email) within the deadline.
You can easily keep in touch with me and with the teaching assistants through the MTeams chat and the other tools of the platform.

For this week (March 16-22), you will find on MTeams:
1) the video lesson with the discussion of the second case (Goodyear) + the theoretical ideas (online within Wednesday);
2) the assignment of the third case (GlaxoSmithKline). The case study has been uploaded on the course’s webpage before the interruption of teaching activities (the assignment will be upload within Monday and it has to be returned within Wednesday);
3) the video lesson with the discussion of the GlaxoSmithKline case + the theoretical ideas (online within Thursday);
4) the assignment of the fourth case study - Blue Origin (the assignment will be upload on Friday morning and it has to be returned within the end of the day); the text of the case study has been uploaded in webpage of the course as usual.

This way we will make up one of the two lost weeks.

Please note that after having done the registration according the instructions already mentioned (see links above), you can access our class by the following link.
