SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
Notice
Case materials are ready ... but the groups are not!
Dear All,
the initial case materials (namely the "public" information & the output forms) have been upload. More information will follow directly to the different groups ... but in order to do that, we need to have the groups clearly defined both as to who is in each group and also who is covering which role. Having such a clear picture is needed as the different roles will receive "privately" different information and therefore we need to know to whom we will be addressing the mails.
In creating your groups, please consider that some roles are duplicated ... so let's get a core team of 7 people who can be in class on Thursday and who can represent all the roles and you can get three/four in reinforcing positions (by the way we expect them to fully contribute ... and we will kick them out if they are ot joining the activities!!!).
So go back to your groups on https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/138m1ad2P2wGbX4wGev8SnqGY0hWebmEzwiNrHzqe_0o/edit?usp=sharing
... and make sure that you have sorted out your internal discussions by this afternoon at 3pm!
In sorting out please consider that there a few new members that are proposing themselves. Get in touch and sort it out, making sure that on every side there is the required commitment!!
Needless to say that with this structure (and a short time horizon for the case), there will be no chance to modify afterwards
All the best

Creating the groups ... let's fix it tomorrow at 11:00!
Dear All,
at the very beginning of our class tomorrow, we will work on the group composition ...
Tomorrow the class will be from 11:00 to 13:00 and you can find the link on Teams (in case you have problems, check with you colleagues and they will guide you)
For those who did not enroll yet in the list of the groups, you are welcome to do it asap at:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/138m1ad2P2wGbX4wGev8SnqGY0hWebmEzwiNrHzqe_0o/edit?usp=sharing
Please consider that each group should be between from 7 to 10 participants (as we have 7 different roles + 3 that can be effectively duplicated).
There are currently three groups proposed but below there is the list of those who are still missing a group. If you don't have a group yet, you are welcome to report your name and tomorrow we will figure out (you are welcome to report if there is someone with whom you would love to go together in the group and we will try to accomodate that too).
Tomorrow before 5pm, the groups will have access to the materials ... you are expected to read them and discuss them within your group before the next class on Thursday next week (the class will be in person!).
Last but not least, each person in the group has a role so there is no "free lunch". If you join a group with a given role, you should commit to do your job, otherwise you will harm the whole group. So join this simulation with enthusiasm and dedication (and also group spirit!).
All the best

The S&OP practice in detail
Dear All,
in the platform you will find a section on S&OP including a detailed description of this practice. On October 1st we will have a recap on S&OP the case material distribution, a support to group creation plus whatever will be needed to secure a smooth start of the group activities.
In that section you will also find the presentation on S&OP as well as an overview of the case (that will be commented next week).
On October 1st there will be room for questions if you still will have doubts
Have a nice week-end and all the best

6d7p2wr
In any case for joining the class tomorrow you can enter directly the call at the following link: https://teams.microsoft.com/meet/327382765579652?p=fdHow5ewK5pzfJJ2UM
As I mentioned you last week, this class will be focused on the S&OP practice [Sales & Operations Planning]. This practice is central to an effective supply chain management …. and you will have the chance to engage in a practice base group work simulating one of the key roles that inside the companies are participating to this business process.
We will be guided into the “S&OP” practice by Sergio Vacca, an experienced professional who has been working in supply chain managerial positions inside major companies (from P&G to Bulgari).
Looking forward to seeing you online tomorrow...
