Best PhD thesis shortlisted for the SIE Prize 2025

The PhD thesis by Elena Dal Torrione, former PhD EF student, has been shortlisted by Società Italiana degli Economisti for the best PhD thesis in 2025
We are proud of Elena Dal Torrione, former PhD student at DEF, shortlisted for the SIE Prize 2025 with the thesis “Essay on Regression Discontinuity Designs” (supervisor Prof. Tiziano Arduini). Our best congratulations and support for the final presentation!
Her thesis presentation for the SIE prize competition is scheduled on September 17, at 4 pm, online.

- Alessandro Giovannelli, SIE Prize 2011, thesis "Nonlinear Forecasting Using a Large Number of Predictors” supervised by Professor Tommaso Proietti and Marco Lippi.

- Daniela Fantozzi, SIE Prize 2022, thesis "Essays on Applied Macroeconomics" supervised by Professors Luisa Corrado.
