OUR MISSION:

The mission of the PhD Program in Economics and Finance at Tor Vergata University of Rome is to cultivate advanced expertise in the intersecting fields of economics, finance, and econometrics. Through a rigorous, four-year curriculum taught entirely in English, the program aims to equip students with the critical skills necessary for a successful career in academia, research institutions, and professional environments that demand high-level analytical, financial, and economic proficiency. Students are provided with a solid foundation in core areas such as mathematics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, and finance in the first year, followed by opportunities for further specialization in their areas of research interest. The program’s close partnership with the Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance (EIEF) further enhances its academic environment, offering students access to additional resources, seminars, and collaborative research activities.
