Completion of first-year mandatory courses.
Choice of an Advisor and, if needed, a co-Advisor.

By mid-June of the second year:
Submission of a research project.

By mid-September of the second year:
Submission of the annual report on activities and research progress.

By the end of the second year:
Completion of the second-year elective courses.
Presentation of the research project at the annual PhD Forum.

By mid-September of the third year:
Submission of the annual report on activities and research progress.

By the end of the third year:
Presentation of research progress at the annual PhD Forum.

By mid-September of the fourth year:
Submission of the annual report on activities and research progress.

By the end of October of the fourth year:
Submission of the PhD candidate profile and of the PhD dissertation (unless an extension is approved).

By the end of April of the fifth year:
Defense of the PhD dissertation (unless an extension is approved).
