Pozzo Riccardo

Riccardo Pozzo graduated from the  State University of Milan (1983), Dr.phil. at the University of Saarland (1988), Habilitation at the University of Trier (1995), and Tenure at the Catholic University of America (2000). Professor of the History of Philosophy at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. (1996), the University of Verona (2003) and Tor Vergata University of Rome (2019). From 2009 to 2012, Pozzo directed the Institute for the European Intellectual Lexicon and History of Ideas of CNR. From 2012 to 2017, when he was head of the Department SSH and CH of CNR, he implemented Italy’s participation in the European research infrastructures for social and cultural innovation CESSDA, CLARIN, DARIAH, EHRI, ERIHS, ESS, OPERAS, RESILIENCE, and SHARE. Member of the Institut International de Philosophie, the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, the Academia Europaea, the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, and the International Confucian Association. He is the author of History of Philosophy and the Reflective Society (De Gruyter 2021).
