James Douglas Brown holds a BA in English Language and Literature and an MSc in Cultural Management and Policy. After working for a number of years in the Performing Arts, Fine Arts and Heritage sectors as an arts manager, he was course leader for the Masters level Cultural Management programme in Edinburgh, Scotland for ten years. He then taught arts and cultural management at Salzburg University for three years and now, based in Düsseldorf, teaches both at Düsseldorf and Salzburg Universities.
