First year EU Students and non-EU students whose family income is declared in Italy

Once students have an ISEE-U indicator based on their family income (declared in Italy), they can then calculate exactly how much tuition fee they will be required to pay each year. The amount students are required to pay is proportionate to their family’s income bracket. Students in the lowest income bracket will be required to pay a €156,00 fee per year. The mid-level income bracket corresponds to the payment of a proportionate fee according to the ISEE-U indicator which would not be more than €1.260,00. The maximum fee that students would be required to cover is €5.250,00 per year, which is applicable to families in the highest income bracket or to students who do not submit an ISEE-U financial assessment evaluation to the University before 16 December each year. During specific dates around Welcome Week, CAF representatives will be available to assist students.

The CAF Office Procedures

Students are encouraged to make an appointment at a local CAF office as soon as possible, preferably within the month of September to receive their ISEE-U indicator and avoid paying the ISEE-U penalty fees. To request an ISEE-U evaluation, students must fill out the DSU form (Dichiarazione sostitutiva unica). In order to calculate fees for international students, the University requires a Family Income Assessment Evaluation Form for University Students (Scheda Raccolta Dati per Indicatore Parificato), which can only be issued by the CAF Offices in Italy.

The following documents must be submitted to the CAF Office to obtain the Family Income Assessment Evaluation Form for University Students:
• 2019 Income Tax Return indicating family income for the previous calendar year
• Family Real Estate Patrimony (as of 31 December of the previous year)
• Family Status Certificate (as of the previous year)
• Indication of any scholarships awarded in the previous year and two years ago
• Copy of student’s Italian Fiscal Code Number (codice fiscale)
• Indication of annual average bank account balance in the previous calendar year
• Copy of student’s passport or I.D.

The Family Income Assessment Evaluation Form for University Students costs €11.70, which the student pays for directly at the CAF Office. A full list of the necessary documents to take to the CAF can be found here.
The Family Income Assessment Evaluation Form for University Students is an indicator which measures the economic status of families and takes into consideration income, assets, and the number of members of each family unit. Students may follow this link to simulate their course fee calculations. Students should make an appointment at one of the CAF offices, such as the CAF office on via Cavour in Rome where there is an English-speaking employee. For the 2020/2021 academic year, students must log onto the Delphi online platform and specifically give permission to allow the University to access their ISEE-U. This procedure must be done no later than 16 December. After this date, a non-refundable late submission fee must be paid by the student, according to the following table:

ISEE-U LATE SUBMISSION DATE  PENALTY FEE

From 16 December 2020 to 15 March 2021 €150,00
From 16 March 2021 to 31 May 2021 €200,00

PLEASE NOTE:

Students who do not submit the Family Income Assessment Evaluation Form for University Students to the University will be responsible for paying the maximum rate of the yearly tuition fee.

Students who have applied for a LazioDisco scholarship should submit the ISEE-U, as in case of exclusion or revocation of the scholarship, the tuition fees will be calculated according to the ISEE-U.
