EEBL Academic Board Decisions

Summary of the Board Meeting Minutes: April 2018
The EEBL Academic Board met on 17 April 2018 at 11:00am to discuss various elements pertaining to the master of science degree programme. In particular, the following decisions were presented, discussed and approved:
- The University has enabled the EEBL Programme Office to use the TurnitIn antiplagiarism software.
- The EEBL Programme is going to request the Ministry of Education a formal equivalence of the EEBL degree programme with the degrees in Economics (LM-56, Scienze dell’economia) as far as access to public competitions is concerned.
- The following students received credit recognition for their Erasmus or Overseas courses: 0243754, 0245602, 0245858, 0245996, 0245982, 024550, 0245916, 0247302, 0246147.
- The pre-courses of “Introduction to Microeconomics” and “Introduction to Macroeconomics” will be taught by Lorenzo Ferrari.
The next Academic Board meeting has been scheduled for 18 June 2018.
Summary of the Board Meeting Minutes: March 2018
The EEBL Academic Board met on 14 March 2018 at 9:00am to discuss various elements pertaining to the master of science degree programme. In particular, the following decisions were presented, discussed and approved:
- For the 2018/2019 the following teachers have been identified as the representatives of the programme (“docenti di riferimento”): Barbara Annicchiarico (SECS-P/01), Leonardo Becchetti (SECS-P/01), Berardino Cesi (SECS-P/03), Giacinto della Cananea (IUS/10), Stefano Gagliarducci (SECS-P/01), Elisabetta Iossa (SECS-P/01), Alessandra Pelloni (SECS-P/01).
- Prof. Berardino Cesi replaces Prof. Alessandro Piergallini as a member of the EEBL Academic Board.
- The quality group (Gruppo di qualità), whose role is that of monitoring the programme and ensuring it meets targets, was nominated: Leonardo Becchetti, Martina Conticelli, Barbara Annicchiarico, Claudio Auria, Susie White, Jennifer Vieley, Serena Scognamiglio and Carlotta Congiusta.
- The Coordinator informed the Board that a new student representative must be nominated.
- Modification of the Course structure: Prof. Giacinto della Cananea has announced his transfer to another University and therefore announces his intention to renounce the course in European Commercial Law and European Administrative Law (12 CFU). Prof. Martina Conticelli will take over the module in European Administrative Law (6 CFU).
- At the same time, the teaching of European Competition Law (IUS /10) held by Prof. Conticelli, is replaced by the course in Management Consulting (SECS-P/08).
- Teaching assignments for the 2018/2019 academic year include new calls (Games, Information and Contract Theory, Econometrics for Applied Economics, Soft Skills, Institutions and Digital Marketing) and renewals (Advanced Management, European Commercial Law, Economic History and Management of Public Administration Reforms).
- Additional courses (pre-courses and ICT course) include: Introduction to Mathematics, Introduction to Statistics, Introduction to Microeconomics, Introduction to Macroeconomics, and the course in “Information and Communication Technology” valid as extra-activity for 6 university credits.
- The following students who presented a request to partake in activities involving university credit will have 6 CFU recognised: 0259451, 0260134, 0256124, 0256339, 0257083, 0247085, 0255746, 0242712, 256577, 0256751, 0256746, 0258067, 0254542, 0253493, 0259444, 0258772, 0259394, 0255644.
- “Electives” (12 CFU) (“attività a scelta libera dello studente”) and “Additional Training Activities" (6 CFU) (Altre attività formative) have been defined. Additional information can be found on the dedicated webpage.
- The Coordinator presented the marketing plan for the 2018/2019 academic year and announced that the EEBL Open day will take place on 28 May 2018.
- The next Academic Board meeting has been scheduled for 17 April 2018 at 11.00am.
Summary of the Board Meeting Minutes: January 2018
The EEBL Academic Board met on 15 January 2018 at 10.00 am to discuss various elements pertaining to the master of science programme. In particular, the following decisions were presented, discussed and approved:
- The antiplagiarism platform has been acquired by the University, however, the programme office is still awaiting the credentials to access the software.
- The EEBL Academic Regulations have been drawn up for presentation to the Didactic Manager.
- The exam commissions have been established for the 2017/2018 academic year.
- The didactic planning for the 2018/2019 academic year has been presented.
- The following student services have been confirmed for the enrolling students of the 2017/2018 academic year: 50% refund on the cost of the annual bus pass, 50% refund on the cost of health insurance, 1000 photocopies per student, 30 meal vouchers per student. Summary of the Board Meeting Minutes: November 2017
The EEBL Academic Board met on 16 November 2017 at 11.00 am to discuss various elements pertaining to the master of science programme. In particular, the following decisions were presented, discussed and approved:
- The Quality Review Board met on 23 October to discuss issues pertinent to the quality of the programme.
- The Programme Coordinator will meet with EEBL students and professors on 22 November at 4:00 pm.
- On 5 December, a potluck lunch will be organised for EEBL students.
- On 18 December there will be a meeting for EEBL students with the representatives of Erasmus Traineeships, Thesis Abroad, Overseas and Venice International University.
- On 25 October there was a Career Day event held at the University, followed by a meeting with company representatives to discuss competencies that businesses require when they consider graduates for employment and internships.
- Professors Cesi, Salustri and Guga will be available by appointment to provide tutoring assistance to EEBL students this year.
- Three scholarships will be awarded to top graduating EEBL students; eligible students are those who first enrolled in the 2015/2016 academic year and who graduated in one of the 2016/2017 academic year graduation sessions (July 2017, October 2017 and March 2018).

Summary of the Board Meeting Minutes: September 2017
The EEBL Academic Board met on 15 September 2017 at 4:30 pm to discuss various elements pertaining to the master of science degree programme. In particular, the following decisions were presented, discussed and approved:
- Meetings will be held with professors to monitor the progress of students more closely.
- The proposed system of organization of the degree programme was presented to various committees of the University who have reviewed the proposal which will soon be forwarded to the Academic Senate.
- An EduX UniTour by EF will take place on 14 November and will include interventions on the international job market, language certifications, academic programmes abroad, how to write a CV.
- Admissions for the 2017-2018 academic year have significantly increased compared to the previous academic year.
- A series of seminars on soft skills will be offered in the second semester.
- Modifications were proposed for the SUA degree description and the annual degree programme review and monitoring indicators have been prepared and presented.
- The next meetings for the Quality Control Group are scheduled for 26 September, 23 October and 11 December.

Summary of the Board Meeting Minutes: June 2017
The EEBL Academic Board met on 7 June at 10:30 am to discuss various elements pertaining to the master of science programme. In particular, the following decisions were presented, discussed and approved:
- On 7 June a meeting was held among professors of the EEBL master of science degree programme to discuss issues related to teaching methods, programme evaluation, academic planning and specific competencies and skills to integrate into lectures and classroom activities.
- More internship agreements and job placement agreements with companies and institutions are currently being stipulated for EEBL students.
- For the next academic year, the majority of lectures will be held for two hours at a time.

Summary of the Board Meeting Minutes: April 2017
The EEBL Academic Board met on 3 April at 10:00 am to discuss various elements pertaining to the programme. In particular, the following decisions were presented, discussed and approved:
- A new page on the website is to be created as an area where alumni can share their experiences about their professional successes achieved after finishing their degree in EEBL.
- More internship agreements and job placement agreements are being stipulated for EEBL students.
- New partners (institutions and companies) are being called upon to analyse the EEBL programme components and provide feedback regarding the competencies and skills that professionals need to work in specific sectors.
- EEBL Open Day will be held on 9 May 2017 to provide an opportunity for interested students to learn more about the degree programme and interact with current students and students who have already graduated.
- A meeting with EEBL professors will take place on 7 June 2017 to discuss teaching methods, critical areas and important elements.
- On 14 March a Skype meeting was held with a representative of the World Bank, who provided useful indications for EEBL students on how to apply for jobs and internships indicated on the World Bank website.
- On 25 May 2017 there will be a metting with first and second year students together with the Coordinator and Tutors in order to discuss pertinent issues related to the degree programme.
- The following students who went abroad through the Erasmus programme will have their CFU recognised: 0233203, 0233614, 0232412.
- Professor Berardino Cesi was nominated Tutor for the EEBL programme, to assist students alongside Professor Barbara Annicchiarico, Professor Martina Conticelli and Professor Alessandro Piergallini.
- Turnitin will soon be used as a mandatory form of control against plagiarism, especially with regard to students' theses.
- A new group dedicated to the quality control of the programme will make up a single group as the EEBL Quality Review Board; the members for the next academic year are: Professor Leonardo Becchetti, Professor Martina Conticelli, Claudio Auria, Maria Innocenzi, Jennifer Vieley, Francesca Renzetti, Bianca De Angelis, and Barbara De Angelis.
Summary of the Board Meeting Minutes: February 2017
The EEBL Academic Board met on 7 February at 10:00 am to discuss various elements pertaining to the programme. In particular, the following decisions were presented and approved:
- The new dual-title degree agreement with SOAS University of London is on its way to being finalized. The EEBL programme is endeavouring to establish partial scholarships to help cover the cost of enrolment at SOAS for two students based on merit.
- The academic programming is to be published on the EEBL website with details regarding the course names and professors.
