New Student Orientation 2023/2024

New Student Orientation Class of 2023/2024 | Welcome to MSc Economics Tor Vergata!

Important information for new students of the MSc in Economics

Lectures and Exams

Classes begin on 4 September 2023. The program lasts two years. Each of the two academic years is divided into two semesters, and each semester is divided into two modules. Each module involves six weeks of teaching, with exams at the end of each module.

In the first module of the first semester (from 4 September to 27 October), students must follow the Statistics pre-course, the Mathematics course, the Statistics course, and the first part of the Coding for Economic Applications course (Matlab). The exams of the first module courses are immediately following lectures (from 30 October to 3 November). Practice sessions for the Mathematics and Statistics courses will be added as soon as possible; you will find them in your timetable.

Lectures will be held in person; only in exceptional cases (illness, study visa, etc.), that must be communicated to the professor, will students be allowed to attend online. In this case, students will be able to follow the lecture in live streaming on Teams.
Exams will be held only in person (no exceptions).

Classrooms are located in Building A of the School of Economics (via Columbia 2). Please check the classroom number on the lecture timetable. Electronic timetables are located on the ground floors of both Building A and Building B.

Lectures online are offered via Microsoft Teams. The code/link to access the online classes is on each course webpage. If this is unavailable, you should ask your professor for it directly. How to activate a Microsoft Teams account?

All details (syllabus, material, calendar, link/code to join the online classes) are on each course's web pages that are constantly updated.
