Placement Prospectives

EEBL students and graduates will be pleased to know that the University of Rome Tor Vergata, according to the 2017 University Jobpricing Report, rates as the number two public university for producing the highest-earning graduates. In addition, over the past years, AlmaLaurea data has consistently confirmed that the average EEBL alumni monthly salary is roughly €1750. Not only do EEBL graduates encounter higher earning potential, they also have more opportunities than most graduates.

How EEBL provides a unique opportunity

Due to the complex nature of the EEBL degree, LM-90 degree in European Studies with an emphasis on economic, juridical and business disciplines, European graduates can participate in calls for selection for public administration positions, diplomacy, governmental agencies and ministries, and banks. More specifically, selections are often open to LM-90 graduates at the following Italian bodies: Banca d’Italia, MEF; Agenzia delle Entrate, AGCM, AREERA, ANAC, Consob, Consip, Equitalia, INPS, ISTAT, Corte dei Conti, Corte Suprema di Cassazione, Garant e per Protezione dei Dati Personali, IVASS, MISE.

Placement Opportunities

Unlike other degree programmes, a degree in EEBL allows for entry into the workforce of private and public companies, international organisations and research institutions and universities. These three principal professional and academic sectors offer EEBL graduates a vast array of opportunities. In addition to current agreements that EEBL has with specific institutions and companies, further opportunities can be found through the Desk Imprese Office, the Tor Vergata Placement Office and the EEBL Programme Office. Additional information regarding traineeships and careers in EU institutions is also available. EEBL graduates should also keep an eye on the EEBL’s website news and EEBL’s FB page where job listings are often published. Please see below for current opportunities that are available to EEBL graduates.

EIB works closely with other EU institutions to implement EU policy and is the world’s largest multilateral borrower and lender, providing finance and expertise for sustainable investment projects that contribute to EU policy objectives, delivering economic and social benefits. EIB offers a Graduate Recruitment And Development (GRAD) programme aimed at recent graduates looking to gain early professional "hands-on" experience. GRAD opportunities are junior roles enabling graduates to gain experience in a dynamic, multicultural environment or to further existing experience by working alongside expert professionals. The appointments are mainly at the headquarters in Luxembourg but, if needed, may also involve assignments in external offices. EIB aims to offer an enriching professional environment with numerous opportunities to gain knowledge, skills and experience. The duration of the graduate contract is for a minimum period of one year and a maximum of four years, but it will not lead to an indefinite contract. EIB offers a fixed monthly basic salary, which is subject to EU community tax, and includes benefits such as health and pension scheme coverage, accident insurance, installation allowance and, if applicable, family allowances. Whilst learning on-the-job alongside our highly qualified experts, graduates will have the opportunity to develop from a personal and professional point of view by attending a tailor-made development programme. The GRAD Programme is open to recent graduates with less than two years of relevant experience after graduation who hold a university degree in one of the fields related to the Bank's activity. Candidates must possess an excellent knowledge of English and/or French, our working languages, and they must be a national of one of the Member States of the European Union, or of a candidate country, which has already started accession negotiations (Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey). Current vacancies are listed on the website http://www.eib.org/en/about/jobs/job-offers.htm ; candidates may send their application through  the e-recruitment portal. The selection process incorporates ability tests, a digital interview and an onsite interview, as well as a technical professional test.
