F.A.Q. for Tor Vergata Students

The home institution will select a maximum of two students each academic year.
Admission requirements and selection of nominees
The home institution selects two nominees each year (usually between January and February) based on the number of credits earned and their GPA from the first semester of studies. Candidates must be officially enrolled at their home institution for each year of study. Candidates from Tor Vergata must have completed 60-66 ECTS at their home institution before starting at the host institution.
Tuition Fees and Funding
The host university will charge no tuition fee. Students will be liable for all expenses including visa, travel, housing, etc., as well as second-year tuition fees at their home institution.
We advise that students apply for a 12-month Erasmus scholarship which can be used to help finance the students’ year abroad while a participant in the Dual Degree Program.

Tor Vergata students must earn 60-66 credits during their first year of study.

Conversion of marks and exam rules
Students must follow all the rules of the host institution. Students should keep in mind, for example, that it is not possible to reject exam marks or sit the same exam multiple times.

Final Thesis
Provided that a student has completed all courses, earned all foreseen credits, received a passing grade on his/her thesis and on his/her oral defense in English, and has met all additional requirements of both institutions according to this Dual Degree program, he/she will be awarded the corresponding Master Degree from each institution according to this agreement. All Dual Degree students will be assigned a faculty member from the host institution as a mentor.
The final thesis of the students participating in the program must be submitted to both the home institution and the host institution. It must be defined at the host institution and it will be evaluated by way of a joint committee with the thesis supervisors from both universities.
