Prerequisiti
È richiesta una conoscenza di base della lingua inglese livello CEFR B1+
Gli studenti, eventualmente non in possesso di tali conoscenze preliminari, dovranno farsi carico di acquisirle attraverso un'attività di studio individuale.

Programma
Il corso approfondirà la comprensione scritta e orale, la produzione scritta e orale e la grammatica.
Si soffermerà, in particolare, su quattro macro-tematiche: working life, techonologies, the environment, the world of business.
Lingua:
- Forma attiva e passiva dei tempi verbali (present simple; present continuous; past simple; past continuous; past perfect; present perfect simple and continuous; future forms)
- Reported speech
- Modals and related verbs: past form
- Zero, first, second, third and mixed conditionals
- Verb patterns with infinitive and -ing clauses
- Articles
- Relative clauses
- Quantifiers
- Linkers
Vocabolario:
Working life, trends, money, success, marketing, communication, experience seeing the future, being effective, the environment, technologies
Esercitazioni varie di reading, speaking, listening e writing di livello B2 sulle tematiche sopra elencate.
Modalità di valutazione
L'esame consiste in una prova scritta, con esercizi a risposta chiusa ed aperta, ed orale. La prova intende verificare l'acquisizione della comprensione scritta e orale e della produzione scritta e orale di livello CEFR B2.

Tutti i materiali verranno forniti dal docente e caricati sulla pagina del sito.
Modalità di svolgimento
Il corso avrà un'impostazione prettamente pratica e interattiva, con l'obiettivo di porre gli studenti al centro del processo di apprendimento.
L'argomento di ogni lezione verrà introdotto in modo deduttivo (guided discovery) seguiranno poi dibattiti, esercizi in gruppo e/o individuali.
Si farà anche uso della lezione capovolta (flipped classroom) al fine di ottimizzare il tempo in aula.
Le lezioni si svolgeranno interamente in inglese.

La frequenza è facoltativa ma vivamente consigliata.

The course will focus on reading and listening comprehension, written and oral production and grammar. It will focus on four macro-topics: working life, techonologies, the environment, the world of business.

Vocabulary:

A number of reading and listening comprehension exercises, writing and speaking exercises on the above-mentioned topics.
The final exam consists of a written exam, with closed and open answers, and oral exam.
The exam aims at assessing the acquisition of reading and listening comprehension and written and oral production at CEFR level B2.
All materials will be provided by the lecturer and uploaded onto the website.
The course will follow the student-centred method and will be highly practical and interactive.
Each lesson will be introduced via a guided discovery activity and then there will be students' discussions and pair/group work.
The course will also make use of the flipped classroom method to optimize classroom time.
The course will be held entirely in English.
Attendance is not mandatory but highly recommended.
