Learning outcomes:
The course is aiming at providing students with advanced skills so that they:
1) develop their ability to work with elaborate legislative texts and judicial rulings, both in Italian and in foreign languages
2) improve their autonomy in analyzing and in commenting such texts;
3) - acquire a good understanding of the Institutional and Legal System of the European Union –
4) – and learn how to apply EU rules to real cases

Modalità di svolgimento
Lezioni frontali. Domande e interventi da parte degli studenti sono possibili e incoraggiati.

Regolamento Esame
La prova di esame valuta, la preparazione complessiva dello studente, la capacità di integrazione delle conoscenze delle diverse parti del programma, la consequenzialità del ragionamento, la capacità analitica e la autonomia di giudizio. Inoltre vengono valutate la proprietà di linguaggio e la chiarezza espositiva, in aderenza con i descrittori di Dublino (1. Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione; 2. Capacità di applicare la conoscenza e comprensione; 3. Autonomia di giudizio; 4. Capacità di apprendimento ; 5: Abilità di comunicazione.
PROVA ORALE
Colloquio orale con domande sull'intero programma. Le risposte saranno valutate sulla base della correttezza e chiarezza di esposizione nonché sulla capacità di collegare i vari argomenti studiati.
PROVA DI ESONERO
Gli studenti potranno sostenere una prova di esonero. La prova consiste in una serie di domande con risposte scritte di tipo “aperto”. La valutazione sarà individuale ed espressa in trentesimi. Il superamento della prova di esonero comporterà la non necessità di portare all’esame la parte corrispondente di programma. Il voto potrà essere rifiutato. In questo caso, all’'esame orale finale occorrerà portare l’'intero programma. La prova di esonero non è obbligatoria ma è consigliabile soprattutto per studenti che abbiano regolarmente frequentato il corso e abbiano così meglio acquisito la metodologia della prova.
CRITERI DI FORMULAZIONE DELLA VALUTAZIONE ESPRESSA IN TRENTESIMI
• Non idoneo: importanti carenze e/o inaccuratezze nella conoscenza e comprensione degli argomenti; limitate capacità di analisi e sintesi, frequenti generalizzazioni.
• 18-20: conoscenza e comprensione degli argomenti appena sufficiente con possibili imperfezioni; capacità di analisi sintesi e autonomia di giudizio sufficienti.
• 21-23: Conoscenza e comprensione degli argomenti routinaria; Capacità di analisi e sintesi corrette con argomentazione logica coerente.
• 24-26: Discreta conoscenza e comprensione degli argomenti; buone capacità di analisi e sintesi con argomentazioni espresse in modo rigoroso.
• 27-29: Conoscenza e comprensione degli argomenti completa; notevoli capacità di analisi, sintesi. Buona autonomia di giudizio.
• 30-30L: Ottimo livello di conoscenza e comprensione degli argomenti. Notevoli capacità di analisi e di sintesi e di autonomia di giudizio. Argomentazioni espresse in modo originale.
Exam Rules
The exam evaluates the overall preparation of the student, the ability to integrate the knowledge of the different parts of the program, the consequentiality of the reasoning, the analytical ability and the autonomy of judgment. Furthermore, language properties and clarity of presentation are assessed, in compliance with the Dublin descriptors (1. Knowledge and understanding; 2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding; 3 . Making judgments; 4. Learning skills; 5: Communication skills.
ORAL TEST
Oral interview consisting of several questions on the entire programma, The candidate's answers will be evalued looking at their correctness and clarity of the argumentation as well as the capicity of connecting the different parts of the programme when needed.
OPTIONAL INTERMEDIATE TEST IN WRITING
The mid term exam shall consist of a number of questions to be answered with "open" answers.The grading will be individual and assessed through votes out of thirty. The passing of the test will imply the exemption from being questioned, at the final oral interview, on the corresponding part of the syllabus. It is possible to refuse the vote. In this case, the whole of the syllabus shall have to be prepared for the final oral interview. The mid term exam is not mandatory. It is especially recommended for students having regularly attended the course and thereby better acquired the skills necessary for passing the test.
ORIENTATIVE GRADING SCALE:
18-21: The student masters the basic concepts of the discipline;
22-25: The student masters the basic concepts of the discipline and the has ability to connect the different subjecs, with an appropriate and correct language.
26-29: The student demonstrates a complete and well-structured knowledge of the subject; demonstrates the ability to independently rework the knowledge acquired; and also shows analytical skills with appropriate and punctual language.
30 - 30 laude: The student demonstrates a complete and in-depth set of knowledge; excellent ability to analyze application problems, accompanied by the use of an exemplary legal language.
Modalità di frequenza
Lezioni di due ore tre volte a settimana per un totale di 60 ore.
Attendance Rules
Lessons lasting two hours each, thrice a week for a total of 60 houres.
