Dear Students,

I am writing to inform you about the upcoming 2nd date for the Case Study presentations for the Enterprise Evolution course:
  • The presentations must be held in person in room P8.
  • Prepare your presentation using PowerPoint, and save it on a USB drive in PPTX format.
  • It is mandatory for all group members to be present to be eligible for grading. Absence of any group member will result in that member being NOT evaluated.
  • Attendance needs to be in person. Requests for remote attendance of an individual member CAN BE CONSIDERED only because of serious, justifiable reasons (e.g., COVID-19, ERASMUS participation).
  • The requests for remote attendance need to be approved in advance by Professor Abatecola and myself. Mails have to be sent to abatecola@economia.uniroma2.it and federico.giannetti@uniroma2.it.
  • The presentations are strictly limited to 15 minutes; if exceeding this time, they will be cut off.
  • Please ensure to be on time, ideally 15 minutes before your slot begins.

Strategic Management - Results Written Test 30th May 2024 and Next Steps

martedì 4 giugno 2024

Dear All,

as far as the May, 30th, 2024 call of Strategic Management is concerned,

the complete results (including the extrapoints both for Module I and II) are on the website ("Exam folder").

On this basis:

1) the column that matters is that entitled "Final Grade".

2) If you accept the final grade proposed, you have to do nothing and this is the grade which will be registered on the Delphi;

3) if you want to refuse the grade, you have to write a mail to abatecola@economia.uniroma2.it no later than on June, 7th, 2024. This because June, 7th is also the last day to book for the second call (if you want to repeat the test on that date).

4) Following the rules, students who are not sufficient can also come in any of the upcoming calls.

5) Finally, there are a few students who still have to perform their project works. The extrapoints from these projects will of course be added to the (partial) overall grade currently shown in the pdf. However, it is clear that these eventual extrapoints cannot radically change a grade positioning, which mostly derives from the performance in the written test.

Thanks and kind regards.

Enterprise Evolution - Project Works' Evaluation 30th May 2024

martedì 4 giugno 2024

Dear All,

the evaluation of the project works presented on May, 30th, 2024 is now complete.

I've created an "exam" folder on the website (please check the "pdf").

Many of the projects were very good!

We adopted slight differences mainly on the basis of: a) depth and breadth of the data collected and analyzed; b) connections to theory; c) overall quality of the analysis performed.

These extrapoints will be added on an individual basis for all the academic year 2023/24.

If you want to know more, please request a meeting to Federico Giannetti or come to my office hours.

Thanks.

IMPORTANT - NEXT STEPS FOR THE ENTERPRISE EVOLUTION PROJECT WORKS (2023/24)

giovedì 16 maggio 2024

Dear All,

We would like to recap the next steps for the presentation of the case studies:

  • The list with the names of the cases is completed, and you have booked the dates. One week before the 1st date of presentations (May 23th), we will send the list with the scheduling for the discussions. For groups 1, 5, and 21, please send via email to Federico Giannetti (federico.giannetti@uniroma2.it) the name of the case study.
  • The chosen presentation date cannot be changed. The organization will follow a schedule dictated by the chosen dates. For organizational reasons, please do not request changes to the assigned slots.
  • Please remember that presentations MUST BE IN PPTX FORMAT (no Word documents), and there is no need to send the slides to us in advance. The number of slides and speaking voices is up to you, but it is important that all group members are present. Those who are not present will not be evaluated.
  • Presentations will last a maximum of 15 minutes and will be followed by 5 minutes of questions and answers.
  • IMPORTANT: All group members will be assumed to be present (the classroom will be communicated soon). Exceptions can be made only for specific cases (e.g., Covid or Erasmus students who need to return to their country). In these cases, students will be allowed to connect remotely via Teams but need to communicate their reasons to us in advance.
  • For those who need it, Federico Giannetti will hold office hour, exclusively via Teams:
    • Friday 17th from 12:00 to 13:00;
    • Wednesday 22nd from 12:00 to 13:00;

Have a great weekend and good work.
