Results - Written Test June, 17th, 2025 and next steps

Dear Students,

good afternoon. As far as Strategic Management is concerned, the results for the overall performance for the second call (these including the 17th June written test and the group assignments for both the modules) are now online (class materials – exams section).

 

In terms of next steps, please, read carefully what follows:  

 

1) “Group Assignments” column: when there is no value, it means that no group assignment has been performed. As known, the extrapoints for both the modules will remain valid for all the academic year 2024/25.

 

2) Overall Grade adjustments: 

Case 1: 24,5 becomes 24.

Case 2: 24,51 becomes 25.

  

3) Accepting/Refusing the Grade: The grade proposed to be registered is that in the column Final Grade. Those who want to accept this grade, do not have to do anything. Instead, those who want to refuse this grade, need to send a mail to Corrado Cerruti and myself no later than June, 29th. Grades refused, or not sufficient, can be performed again in any of the upcoming calls. In this regard, please remember that the deadling to book the third call is June, 29th.

Dear Students,

good morning. as far as Strategic Management is concerned, the results for the overall performance for the first call (these including the 26th May written test and the group assignments for both the modules) are now online (class materials – exams section).

 

In terms of next steps, please, read carefully what follows:  

 

1) “Group Assignments” column: when the value in the column is 0, it means that no group assignment has been performed or it is planned to be performed; when there is no value (module II), it means that the group assignment has still to be performed and, when completed, the extrapoints will be added to the overall grade. As known, the extrapoints for both the modules will remain valid for all the academic year 2024/25.

Dear Students,

This email is to inform you about the upcoming Case Study presentations scheduled for June 3rd and 4th.

Please note the following important details regarding your presentations:

  • In-person Requirement: All presentations must be conducted in person.
  • Location: Presentations will take place in Room P8 on both dates.
  • Preparation: Please prepare your presentation in PowerPoint and save it as a .pptx file on a USB drive.
  • Group Attendance: All group members must be present to receive a grade. If any member is absent, she/he will not be evaluated.
  • Time Limit: Each presentation will be a maximum of 15 minutes plus a 5min Q&A session. Presentations will be stopped once this time limit is reached.
  • Punctuality: Please arrive on time (15 minutes before your scheduled presentation, while the previous group is presenting).

we would like to remind you, for those who have not yet done so, the deadline for filling out the google sheet scheduled for tomorrow April 30th at 18:00. Because of organizational reasons, late proposals will not be taken into consideration.

The google fsheet to fill out is available at the following link.

 

Also, all the proposals submitted need to be complete, i.e. they have to display a weekly keyword and a potentially chosen firm. This will be also important for us to check for potential overlappings.

As explained during the last lecture (March, 26th), the choice of your project works can be also associated with 2 interesting, different opportunities which go beyond the exam's evaluation:

1) Start Cup Lazio (the business plan regional competition Start cup Lazio – Business Plan Competition Regionale);

2) Make it a Case (the national competition by the Italian Society of Management - SIMA: MAKE IT A CASE - Società Italiana di Management).

Project Works - Instructions 2024/25

Dear Students,

as you know, as an extra-activity for the Enterprise Evolution module you can prepare and present Case Study Project Works (slides and 2 samples of projects on the website).

Projects can give you up to +3 extrapoints, on an individual basis, to the result of the written test. These extrapoints will be valid for all the academic year 2024/25.

Please find below the relevant information and deadlines.

You must form a team consisting of no more than 4 members. Each team should select a weekly theme, such as Growth, Decline, or Liability of Newness (check the slides), and choose a company to analyze in detail.

To register your case project, complete the Google Sheet provided at the following link. The mandatory deadline for registration is April 30th, 2025 at 18:00.

When preparing your case study, pay particular attention to data collection, whether primary or secondary, and ensure you integrate relevant theoretical frameworks discussed in class. Be ready to actively participate in class discussions and to present your case study.

I will be available for office hours on Microsoft Teams on the following dates:

  • Monday, April 14 from 18:00 to 19:00
  • Tuesday, April 22 from 18:00 to 19:00
  • Monday, April 28 from 18:00 to 19:00

Please also check the classroom noticeboard regularly for updates and further instructions. Attendance in presence at the case study presentations (3 th-4th June) is mandatory.
