Obiettivi Formativi
OBIETTIVI FORMATIVI:
Il corso offre una panoramica sulle principali strategie dell'Unione europea per creare valore nei territori degli Stati membri. Descrive inoltre i principali meccanismi di finanziamento e i principali programmi di finanziamento, esplicitando la relazione tra programmi di finanziamento e progetti finanziati.
Il corso adotterà un approccio laboratoriale in cui gli studenti lavoreranno in gruppo e partendo da un bando della Commissione europea definiranno la loro "idea" progettuale iniziale, sviluppandola in una vera e propria "proposta" progettuale da presentare in risposta al bando.
A tal fine verranno utilizzati strumenti di progettazione del Logical Framework Approach e strumenti di pianificazione tipici del project management. Il corso si conclude con la presentazione dei lavori di gruppo realizzati durante le lezioni e, valutata la qualità del progetto e la capacità di utilizzare gli strumenti, verrà valutata l'idoneità degli studenti.
Coniugando teoria e pratica, l’insegnamento si pone in linea con gli obiettivi del CdS, sviluppando capacità manageriali utili in alcuni degli ambiti principali del CdS (consulenza, risorse umane, procurement).
Gli obiettivi principali del corso sono:
- Acquisire familiarità con le strategie europee per la creazione di valore a livello internazionale, nazionale e locale attraverso la logica programma/progetti.
- Riconoscere le opportunità derivanti dal sistema dei fondi europei per organizzazioni pubbliche, private e non-profit.
- Essere in grado di identificare le opportunità e formulare progetti "pertinenti, fattibili e sostenibili" che aumentino la possibilità di vedere i progetti finanziati.
Attraverso gli obiettivi dichiarati, il corso contribuisce agli obiettivi del CdS approfondendo teoria e pratica di tematiche di gestione aziendale utili ad affrontare: le problematiche strategiche, inquadrandole all’interno di un progetto di sviluppo; le problematiche di sostenibilità, collegandole all’innovazione dei sistemi di direzione aziendale oltre che di gestione della catena di fornitura. In questo modo, l’insegnamento è disegnato in coerenza con l’evoluzione della domanda professionale del mercato del lavoro nazionale e internazionale.
CONOSCENZA E CAPACITÀ DI COMPRENSIONE:
Al termine del corso, gli studenti avranno acquisito conoscenze legate alle strategie europee per creare valore, il ruolo della logica programma/progetti per favorire il raggiungimento degli obiettivi strategici europei, le differenti funzioni attribuite alla Commissione europea, agli Stati membri e alle organizzazioni pubbliche, private e non-profit che sono potenziali beneficiarie dei finanziamenti.
Inoltre, gli studenti acquisiranno conoscenze utili ad identificare le principali opportunità derivanti dai fondi europei, collegandole alla mission/vision di un'organizzazione pubblica, privata o non-profit.
Il corso punta al trasferimento di queste conoscenze affinché gli studenti siano in grado di comprenderle e applicarle.
CAPACITÀ DI APPLICARE CONOSCENZA E COMPRENSIONE:
Al termine del corso, gli studenti saranno in grado di distinguere e applicare le principali competenze di formulazione della proposta progettuale per renderla realistica e fattibile.
Grazie ad un approccio laboratoriale, gli studenti saranno in grado di sviluppare competenze di progettazione quali: analisi degli stakeholders, identificazione di problematiche e obiettivi del contesto in cui il progetto verrà realizzato, sviluppare la logica di progetto e la performance attesa usando la Matrice del Quadro Logico, i principali strumenti di pianificazione del project management quali la definizione delle attività, dei tempi e dei costi del progetto.
AUTONOMIA DI GIUDIZIO:
Gli studenti saranno in grado di interpretare gli attuali orientamenti dell'Unione Europea fornendo una valutazione autonoma delle potenziali opportunità che ne derivano per le organizzazioni del settore pubblico, privato e non-profit, comunicando con i principali portatori di interesse in fase di formulazione e realizzazione del progetto.
ABILITÀ COMUNICATIVE:
Nell'affrontare le sfide legate alla formulazione della proposta progettuale, gli studenti acquisiranno competenze di lavoro in team, risoluzione dei problemi e presentazione del proprio lavoro. Il lavoro di gruppo consoliderà tali competenze.
CAPACITÀ DI APPRENDIMENTO:
Gli studenti acquisiranno le necessarie competenze per affrontare in totale autonomia future formulazioni di proposte progettuali in risposta a bandi dell'Unione Europea.
Learning Objectives
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
The course will offer an overview of the main strategies of the European Union to create value in the Member States. It also describes the main financial initiatives and programmes, exploring the relationship between financing programmes and funded projects.
The course will adopt a practical approach in which students will work in groups and, starting from a call for projects of the European Commission, they will define their initial project "idea", developing it into an actual project "proposal" to be presented in response to the call.
To this end, Logical Framework Approach design tools and typical project management planning tools will be used. The course ends with a final day of groups presentation during which the project's quality and ability to use the tools will be assessed and the suitability of the students will be evaluated.
By combining theory and practice, the course aligns with the objectives of the degree course, developing managerial skills that are useful in some of the main areas of the degree course (consulting, human resources, procurement).
The primary learning outcomes of the course are to:
- Become familiar with the European strategies for creating value at the supra-national, European and local level throughout the program/project logic.
- Understand the opportunities for public, private and non-profit organizations derived from the European funding system.
- Be able to identify the opportunities and design "relevant, feasible and sustainable" projects to secure European grants.
Through the stated objectives, the course contributes to the objectives of the Degree Course by deepening the theory and practice of business management issues useful for addressing: strategic issues, framing them within a development project; sustainability issues, connecting them to the innovation of business management systems as well as supply chain management. In this way, the teaching is designed in line with the evolution of professional demand in the national and international labor market.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
At the end of the course, students are expected to have a knowledge of the European Union's strategies for creating value in Europe, the primary role of the program/project logic in fostering the EU strategic objectives, and the different functions covered by the European Commission, Member States and private/public/non-profit organizations that are potential beneficiaries of the grants.
Furthermore, students are expected to acquire helpful knowledge to identify the main opportunities deriving from the European funds and link these opportunities to the mission/vision of a public/private/non-profit organization.
The course aims to transfer this knowledge so that students are able to understand and apply it.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
At the end of the course, students are expected to be able to distinguish and apply essential project design/management skills necessary for writing a reliable and feasible project proposal.
Thanks to a practical approach, students are also expected to develop project design skills such as stakeholder, problems and objectives analysis of a specific context in which the project will be implemented, the project logic and performance using the LogFrame Matrix, the primary project management tools for planning activities, time and budget of the project.
MAKING JUDGEMENTS:
Students will be able to interpret current trends critically in the European Union and make autonomous judgments on potential opportunities for public/private/non-profit organizations, reaching out to the relevant stakeholders for the project design and implementation.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
By addressing project design challenges, students will be able to acquire team-building, problem-solving and presentation skills. Significantly, teamwork will improve these skills.
LEARNING SKILLS:
Students will acquire the necessary learning skills to embark, fully autonomously, on further project design in the field of European Funds.

Regolamento Esame
Durante la prima parte del corso, partendo da un esistente bando per progetti dell'UE, ciascun gruppo di lavoro identificherà una idea progettuale da sviluppare con il supporto del docente. Al termine del corso, ciascun gruppo è chiamato a presentare il proprio lavoro al resto della classe.
Il voto finale sarà espresso in: idoneo/non idoneo
L'idoneità degli studenti sarà valutata osservando il loro contributo durante l'intero corso, considerando in particolare la loro attività partecipazione nei lavori di gruppo e la presentazione finale. Durante quest'ultima, il docente valuterà la completezza e qualità degli strumenti utilizzati, la qualità della progettazione nel suo complesso, l'efficacia nel presentare il proprio lavoro, e l'abilità di organizzare la presentazione in gruppo. In sintesi, il progetto finale sarà valutato secondo i seguenti criteri di valutazione:
- pertinenza del progetto rispetto alle tematiche del bando di finanziamento europeo utilizzato per l'esercitazione
- fattibilità della proposta progettuale attraverso l'utilizzo di un set di indicatori collegato agli obiettivi del progetto
- sostenibilità della proposta progettuale, ovvero dimostrare la capacità del prodotto/servizio di essere economicamente sostenibile dopo la fine del progetto.
La non idoneità sarà valutata in casi di importanti mancanze e carenze nella conoscenza e comprensione degli argomenti trattati, limitate capacità di analisi e sintesi, generalizzazioni e limitata capacità di pensiero critico; o se gli argomenti verranno trattati in maniera inconsistente e con un linguaggio inappropriato.
Exam Rules
At the beginning of the course, starting from a real European Call for Projects, each group will identify an initial project idea to be developed with the teacher's support. At the end of the course, each group is asked to present their own elaboration to the rest of the class.
The final grade will be expressed as: suitable/not suitable
The suitability of students will be assessed throughout the course, considering their active participation in teamwork and the final group presentation of the work. During the final presentation, the teacher will evaluate the comprehensiveness of the tools adopted, the quality of the project design, the effectiveness in presenting the work, and the ability to organize the presentation in the team. In summary, the final project will be evaluated according to the following evaluation criteria:
- relevance of the project to the themes of the European funding call used for the exercise
- feasibility of the project proposal through the use of a set of indicators linked to the project objectives
- sustainability of the project proposal, i.e., demonstrating the ability of the product/service to be economically sustainable after the end of the project.
Non-suitability will be assessed in case of essential deficiencies and inaccuracies in the knowledge and understanding of the topics, limited capacity for analysis and synthesis, frequent generalizations and limited critical and judgment skills; the arguments are presented in an inconsistent way and with inappropriate language.

Durante la prima parte del corso, partendo da un esistente bando per progetti dell'UE, ciascun gruppo di lavoro identificherà una idea progettuale da sviluppare con il supporto del docente. Al termine del corso, ciascun gruppo è chiamato a presentare il proprio lavoro al resto della classe.
L'idoneità degli studenti sarà valutata osservando il loro contributo durante l'intero corso, considerando in particolare la loro attività partecipazione nei lavori di gruppo e la presentazione finale. Durante quest'ultima, il docente valuterà la completezza e qualità degli strumenti utilizzati, la qualità della progettazione nel suo complesso, l'efficacia nel presentare il proprio lavoro, e l'abilità di organizzare la presentazione in gruppo.
La non idoneità sarà valutata in casi di importanti mancanze e carenze nella conoscenza e comprensione degli argomenti trattati, limitate capacità di analisi e sintesi, generalizzazioni e limitata capacità di pensiero critico; o se gli argomenti verranno trattati in maniera inconsistente e con un linguaggio inappropriato.
Exam Rules
At the beginning of the course, starting from a real European Call for Projects, each group will identify an initial project idea to be developed with the teacher's support. At the end of the course, each group is asked to present their own elaboration to the rest of the class.
The suitability of students will be assessed throughout the course, considering their active participation in teamwork and the final group presentation of the work. During the final presentation, the teacher will evaluate the comprehensiveness of the tools adopted, the quality of the project design, the effectiveness in presenting the work, and the ability to organize the presentation in the team.
Non-suitability will be assessed in case of essential deficiencies and inaccuracies in the knowledge and understanding of the topics, limited capacity for analysis and synthesis, frequent generalizations and limited critical and judgment skills; the arguments are presented in an inconsistent way and with inappropriate language.
