STRATEX 2 AND 3 - NOTICE TO GROUPS

martedì 1 aprile 2025

Dear students,

I see you steaming, notwithstanding the fog of Stratex, and here some indication for you to keep going and improving your performance.

1. All of you, and especially the representatives, make a delibearate effort to include all team members, especially where there are barriers of any kind in the group. Good group interaction and leadership is key to your lives, besides and beyond the Stratex.

2. I have shared the deliverable folders with all the representatives who asked me for it. Now you can upload your deliverables in the folders, even if you sent it already by mail. Which was very good because you complied with the spirit of the exercise.

3. Take heed of Stratex Guidance 3.4 on DIDA: in the Exercise Concept part, you have indication of external stakeholders you can use as mentors for international relations and AI related matters.  There is also the new right version of the EUC4PP, look at it!

4. Exploit the occasion you have to learn advanced and responsible use of AI tools! Not everybody has this chance at hand.

5. Have fun!

See you very soon

STRATEX 25 PREPARATION - 25th of March 2025

lunedì 24 marzo 2025

Dear Students,

tomorrow we will start preparation for the Stratex. We will go through the Exercise Guidance, make sure that you have feed-back for your "Mission and Vision” exercise and we will do a group brainstorming for your projects.

In "Materiale didattico" you will find the Stratex 25 Exercise Guidance, with Annex A - 1 and 2 -about the “Leading Generative AI” module; your SLIDO report for the M&V exercise and the reading material for the four Stratex sessions. Make sure you use also Annex A for the class assignments!

Read attentively the Exercise Guidance, look in the Annex for what to read and do for the exercise sessions and go through the Mission and Vision report: the highlighted sentences are the closest to the concept.

We will do the brainstorming exercise in groups (bring paper and pencil for each person!) and then enter the ideas the team developed in a SLIDO poll.

Brainstorming is a group problem-solving method that involves the spontaneous contribution of creative ideas and solutions. This technique requires intensive, freewheeling discussion in which every member of the group is encouraged to think aloud and suggest as many ideas as possible based on their diverse knowledge. The four rules of effective brainstorming: focus on quantity, withhold criticism, welcome unusual ideas, and combine and improve ideas.

Here two links to short videos on brainstorming, but feel free to choose the reference material you wish.

Dear students,

today, toward the end of our class, we will have a SLIDO poll on your perceived fundamental take-aways about strategic thinking. Those who will capture good hints will have a class participation mark upgrade.

Reading the slides and listening in class should be enough to do good.
