My name is Camilla Pasquali; I’m 19 years old, and I have attended the Liceo Classico Europeo at “Convitto Nazionale Vittorio Emanuele II” of Rome. I have always found international issues, challenges, and languages absolutely fascinating.
I love to read and to play every kind of sport especially volleyball, which I have been playing for many years competitively. This sport has helped me to strengthen my personality and to work in a team. It is character- building, and it fosters self-confidence.
I have an unconditional passion for travelling , discovering new places and cultures. For this reason, at the age of 16, I decided to be an exchange student for three months in Sydney, Australia. It felt so strange to be an exchange student; it was like living a short, different life inside my own life. This amazing experience gave me the opportunity to meet precious people, to get out of my comfort zone, and especially to open my mind to various ways of living and thinking.
And it was on this occasion that I started to discover my interest for global problems and issues. It might seem trivial, but I strongly believe that positive change in the world is possible, and I really want to study how to make it happen.
I find the Global Governance program incredibly intriguing, and I am so grateful to be a part of it. I’m happy to know that the program requires hard work. This doesn’t scare me; instead, I find this kind of challenge very stimulating. I truly believe that this program would help me to gain technical skills and to improve myself every day, in order to excel in my academic and future career path.
