Ciao! My name is Tanya and I am 19. Born in a country as diverse as India, I was introduced to multiculturalism at a very young age. However, it was not until I was selected to be an exchange student in France that my life changed completely. I realized that I do not want to be confined to a particular nationality but I want be a part of a more global picture which is why I chose Global Governance. It stuck me as a practical, innovative yet challenging program which is exactly what I was looking for. Over the years, I was lucky to learn about different cultures and meet people from all over the world. I also got the occasion to take a closer look at the refugee crisis and identify with their plight of leaving everything behind to integrate in a foreign culture. One day, I wish to work with the UN to advocate for their rights. I completed high school with the humanities section and my year abroad with sciences in a lycée. I like exploring art history, learning new languages, travelling, swimming, and baking, so I will probably be the one to bring a cake to class. Even though I will miss my four dogs here very much, I look forward to calling Rome “home”!
