He is also Professor for Political Economics at University of Rome "Tor Vergata”, Faculty of Science. Visiting Professor, Institute of Leadership and Management in Health, Kingston University, London , UK (from 2011).

Research Director, Centre for Economic Evaluation and HTA (EEHTA), CEIS - Faculty of Economics, University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.

President, SiHTA (Italian Society of Health Technology Assessment).

His main contributions have dealt with Welfare policies, health system analysis, Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and Pharmaco-economics, and pharmaceutical economics.

Prof Mennini is member, as economists expert, of Consiglio Superiore di Sanità. (from 2017).

Prof Mennini is Member of the Working Group (WG) "Vaccines and anti-COVID-19 vaccinations", Ministry of Health (from November 2020).
