Dear students,

the grading process, long and complex, is going to its end for most of you.

As for the Syllabus, Class Participation paragraph, and the Exercise Guidance, Exercise instructions paragraph, the group representatives must certify who gave a significant contribution to the Stratex, in presence or remotely, agreeing with the majority of the group. Only those who did will get the grade. This is in line with the spirit of the course, where participation to the common good is a moral obligation. It iis a delicate decision, which is what leadership is about. So, as soon as possible and anyway by Thursday the 4th of June, the representatives of all groups will send to me on globalgovernancegil@gmail.com  a mail, subject "Group X - STRATEX PARTICIPATION DECLARATION", in which they state who has contributed in the group's assessment, who did not and possibly why. I assume you did everything possible to include everybody, as our whole course discourse requests.

NOW, R E A D  W E L L  T H E S E  I N S T R U C T I O N S !!!

Many of you keep disregarding the information sent to you, including those for testing, with harm to the process and to your own grades. 

We have graded so far the Midterm, the Stratex and the Final Work.  No Final Works for the following students: De Souza Isabel; Ghanjour Marn; Kallikattu Sania; Liu Stella; Manzi Cedrick; Mikeladze Anastasia; Podobed Sofia; Tumusime Ivan. 

Here the different situations the students are in, with regard to attendance and exams done.

The next exam session will be on the 9th of June, remember enrolling on Delphi for the exam, including all those who have fulfilled all the requirements and are attending!

Here we review  specific information for the different categories of students, beyond what is included in the Syllabus and in previous mails and in the Exam section on DIDA, which explain what to study and how the non-attending students must do all course exams and a special one.  

IN THE NEXT EXAM SESSION, STUDENTS WHO ARE:

• ATTENDING, with Midterm, Final Work, and Stratex accomplished: your grade will just be recorded on Delphi right after the exam session. Nothing to do.
• NOT ATTENDING, with all above accomplishments and grades: you will take a complementary multiple-choice test on Classmarker on the 9th. About 30 new questions, same instructions as for the Midterm: READ THOSE INSTRUCTIONS ON DIDA!  Then, your grade will be recorded on Delphi.
• NOT ATTENDING, with missing Midterm, but WITH a Stratex grade: you must  do the Midterm AND the complementary 30 question test.
• NOT ATTENDING, with missing Midterm and/or Final Work, and WITHOUT a Stratex grade: you must deliver the Final Work asap, do the Midterm AND the complementary 30 question test, AND a hand-written exam focusing on the main educational objectives of the Stratex, all in the next exam session.

I hope all is clear. If you have questions you cannot answer (after trying, though), write to your great representatives or to me.

Last thing, Group 8 has presented their Stratex projects to a teachers conference, with great success! Great job!

Dear students, 

we are finished with the evaluation of the Stratex 26. A team of four has worked on your projects and we are very happy with the outcome. All projects are at least good, and many are excellent. Your work has drawn interest for external stakeholder, and if on the 22nd of May at 17.30 some of you want to briefly introduce online your group project video to an event of the Digital Heritage Foundation, just for a few minutes, that would be great. If so, each group representatives please write to me on our course mail and we will arrange the thing. If there are many, they are willling to do a specific event for you.

The date of our next exam, for those who are not attending, did not do or failed the Midterm, or did not do the Stratex is the 9th of June. More on this will follow. After that date, all of you will get the grades.

We graded your Midterm exam, the grades follow.

We studied the different situations the students are in, with regard to attendance and exams done.

We have started the evaluation process of your Stratex projects, which have raised much interest and before the end of the course I will come to tell you about it.

Tomorrow is the due date for your Final Work, and we will start the evaluation of your 139 products. We will also see into class participation upgrades, through Slido interactions and recorded contributions.

Our course has a complex evaluation system, designed to promote specific educational threads, including but well beyond assessment of knowledge. It is nevertheless a lot of work, and it takes time.

The next exam session will be 8-12 of June, remember enrolling on Delphi for the exam!

MIDTERM EXAM 8.4.2026 - GRADES

Dear students,

as announced in class, I have uploaded the instructions for you Final Work in Materiale Didattico, folder "EXAMS".

READ ATTENTIVELY, follow them and it will go smooth.

Your product will be about your personal take-aways from the course and for your future. So, important stuff. 

8 students are still not enrolled on DIDA. FYI.

I will keep you posted with the (long) evaluation and grading process, including today's test and next appointment for non-attending students. Be patient, everything will come in due time. 

I liked very much your Stratex Work, I am sure you will do very good also on this last assignment.

Dear students,

Classmarker has sent the login data to all of the test-takers. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE SPAM FOLDER!

For some reason, the last batch of credentials has been sent twice... no sweat, just pick the first you got and ignore the other.

If you are enrolled and have not received the credentials, no problem. Write an email to globalgovernancegil@gmail.com and tomorrow morning we'll fix it.

ALL THE STUDENTS, THOSE WHO ARE ENROLLED ON DELPHI FOR THE TEST AND THOSE WHO ARE NOT, MUST COME TO THE STRATEX PRESENTATION. It will start at 10.15, T2 classroom. Check anyway the Board at the entrance.

Remember the ID card, and possibly a computer (or an alternative device) is necessary.

Dear students,

this mail is meant mainly  for those who have written to me, because they failed to enroll on Delphi for the Midterm exam. This is a required activity as for university regulations. Some lamented technical issues, that could be prevented by enrolling in due time, well before the deadline. Nevertheless, I decided to be forthcoming and assume goof faith. Therefore, I accepted the requests and started to enroll students. I found that some of them did not even join DIDA, preventing effective participation to the GIL course. This is a most serious negligence. Those not on DIDA will not be enrolled in the Midterm and in any case will sustain a special exam in June. They must anyway take part to the Stratex presentations, if they want the Stratex grade. The others, check to be enrolled on Delphi. 

I ask the representatives to forward this mail to all students, also the ones not on DIDA.

In doubt, I strongly suggest to come tomorrow anyway.
